Tell me why I'll love POFQ, please.

We just booked our first ever family vacation with the 4/3 deal. We had originally booked CSR which I was *so* excited about. My parents called us right after I booked and said that her and my dad wanted to get us our plane tickets because they're so excited for us (Thanks mom and dad! I wasn't expecting that at all!). They wanted to use their miles and to make that happen we needed to adjust our travel days just slightly.

By the time I switched the reservations, CSR was unavailable for our new travel dates, but POFQ was.

We have a 5 year old daughter and our son will be about 20 months old when we go. We're also going the last week of January, so who knows if we'll want to use the pool at all, right?

POFQ afficiandos, help me get excited about POFQ.

Of course, I know we'll have fun no matter where we stay, but the Dig site looked so awesome, and I loved that CSR had its own bus.

There's nothing NOT to love about Port Orleans, but we hated CSR. I would rather stay off site before I stayed @ CSR again. The only nice thing was the pool.. and even that wasn't as cool as it looks in the pictures... But Port Orleans is our favorite moderate now, and will not stay anywhere else. always our first choice.... BTW, the buses are not always shared... (i think just on off peak times)... Oh.. but maybe I shouldn't rave too much... because then it may end up being more crowded . I think the people in the deluxe resorts that have to share buses should complain... like for example, taking a downtown disney bus from CR you have to stop at the GF & Poly on the way.. and they are not even as close to each other as POR, and POFQ.... oh.. and you can take a boat to downtown disney from PO.

Yes for the age group POFQ is perfect! You don't want to walk far distances with a toddler. We were there in June and the parks were crowded but never heard other guests at POFQ. Very quiet and pretty resort. Excellent choice

Just another thought: I think POFQ is a great resort for first timers, you may become overwhelmed with other large resorts. My sister and her family stayed there for their first trip and they thought it was perfect

You'll love it because it is in Disney and so quiet and beautiful.
