Just Back from CBR/ Mini report

I attended my first Dismeet at Mk on Sat. It sure was fun putting some faces to the names. Tinkbutt, I lost that slip of paper, so I hope you remember who all was there.

We arrived home to Minnesota to strong winds and a temp. of 56 degrees! Now I don't like it cold, but after our week in the world, I can handle some low temps. Did anyone else melt in the Florida sun last week! I like hot weather, but to walk all day in that sun and heat really was tough. But, we still had a great time!

We stayed at CBR for our first time. Had room 4601, which was a corner room in Jamaica. The room was clean and large. The walk to OPR was not to bad, but because of the heat, we did not walk over there very often. Stayed and swam in our village pool. Mouse keeping was good, no towel animals, except when we arrived. The buses were great. Only had to stand 2 times.. Never waited more than 5 min. Food court was well stocked and had a lot of variety. Left 5 dollars tip each day. That was for 2 adults in the room.

We had the dinning plan and by the end of the trip, we did not want to eat anywhere or anything. I just can not even image using the Deluxe Dinning. Our favorite meal were Narcoossee's and Ohanna's. Si Fi was pretty good also. We did CP for breakfast. That was nice to be the first people in the park. The food was good. Did Boma for breakfast and that was also very good. Our least favorite was Chef de France. Now, by the time we ate here, it was the end of the week and we were just drained from the heat and eating all the time. The service was great. We also ate ate at Raglan Road. this to was good, but were to tired and hot to enjoy. Ate at Fulton's our first night and the meal was very good. We always try to do this our first night. We ordered a cake for our Anniversary from Narcoossee's. The cake was beautiful and tasted very good, but this is something I will not do again. It was just to much for 2 people and with the dinning plan, it went over the top.

The parks were great. We walked on everything. Got fast passes for TSM. Other wise we walked on everything. We went on ToT and RCnRC before we got the fast pass for TSM. Went to all the parks with evening magic hours. It just worked out that way. I wanted to do Epcot on any day besides Friday, because I wanted to see the candy lady, and I knew she did not perform on Fridays. She was on Vacation!!! Oh well , maybe next time.Did "pick a pearl" twice First one was in Epcot. Got a 6 3/4 pearl. I thought they rushed you through it. Went to DTD later in the week and got an 8mm pearl. I had that one set in a heart. The small one fit in the carriage really nice. I gave that to my daughter.

Had baskets delivered from Disney Florest. They were beautiful, but I don't think I would do this again either. It was fun for a one time deal, but sorta expensive. I do have to say, they did a BEAUTIFUL job.

We stayed at the Dolphin for one night at the end of our trip. Could of had a perfect view of the castle and Epcot fireworks, but 10 min. before the show, it finally decided to pour. That room was very nice, but the hotel is very spread out and not very Disney like.

On the plane on our trip home we were talking and thing of our next trip. For what we paid for CBR, we would stay there again. But we also thought for the same price we could stay at ASMu Suites and have a bedroom, 2 bathrooms, a separate living space and a sm kitchen. Plus everything is closer to the main hub.I do think the heat had something to do with the negitves on this trip. If anyone have any questions, I will try to answer them.

Oh yeah. I got the rash on my ankles first and then my Husband did. Saw it on a couple of other people also.

Yes, it was very hot there last week. We could only do about 7 hours at the park before we were all ready to come home and jump in the pool. I enjoyed my stay at CBR and the only negative I had was on housekeeping, did not clean as much as I had wanted and no coffee cups were left after Tuesday, we drank coffee each day to get us up and going!!

I enjoyed the Jamaica pool as well since the other pools were just too many people for me and after being in the parks all day, I just wanted some quiet time.

The rash from the hot pavement. It looks like red spots around and up your ankle. They say it is from the heat of the sidewalks. I heard about it on these boards, so I was not surprised with the heat of last week that it showed up. It is gone now.
