I was chosen as a contestant for the American Idol Experience!

I auditioned and was chosen on Friday, Sept. 25. I was in the 1pm show. I am wondering if anyone from the board was there and possibly taped the show.

My friend was in the 2:00 show in early Sept and we really enjoyed the Photopass pics that they got for her! Have you checked those out? I was impressed they took so many.

Not yet. We just got home last night and haven't had a chance to look at them yet. I am really hoping to find someone who videotaped. I walked out of the resort without our camera that day and didn't realize it until we were walking in the front gates of DHS.

Good luck but I would not bet on it. AIE specifically does not allow video recording of the show and unlike some attractions, they are really strict about it.

Count yourself as lucky if you can get a hold of it.

Actually we were told that the show could not distibute copies of the show. My husband said the warm up guy did announce no video taping but there was a man clearly video taping right up front and my husband said the warm up guy said "hey dude you need to be more discreat if your going to do that hold the camera lower" and laughed. Didn''t make him put it away. DH said there was also 1 other person taping. I know it was a long shot asking here but I was hoping.

Anyway, I did pretty good. They only announce who won and I did not win. Actually I never expected to make it through the first audition because I am a "broadway" singer not pop or country but my son wanted me to audition so badly so I did and suprisingly I made it. I sang "Colors of the Wind" in the show.

More than the performance I really want a copy of the video taped interview segment I did because they involved my son and it was hilarious. I e-mailed Disney to see if I could get a copy of it but have not received a responce yet.

AIE has to announce no videotaping for licensing issues, but whether they enforce it is another matter. I too will side on that I have witnessed people videotaping without question (at least not that I saw).

Well, I thought I would bump this one more time. I did get a respose back from Disney today that they cannot send me a copy of the interview tape. I am so sad that I will never see that hilariously, funny video they shot of me and my DS dancing, him shoving me into the auditon room, him running into my arms when I made it, him shoving me out of thet way while stealing the mic and yelling "Vote for my mom!" It was so funny and he keeps talking about it. It was a very cool experience for both of us. So this is the last bump. There were 2 people video taping in the audience. Crossing my fingers that one of them is a DIS member!

Wish I could help...Anyone tape July 14th, 11am show or the finale? My daughter was in both of those...it sure was fun. Her photopass pictures came out really great, I am sure you will love yours! Congrats.
