wedding-just the two of you (11 guests as of now)

I am interested in reading a report, seeing pictures etc from anyone who had a wedding with just a bride and groom. No friends or family. thanks

10/07/09 Some of you may know I have bounced between park and cruise. Even had the cruise date picked out. With a lot of financial help from my mom
it is now going to be at Sea Breeze Point. I can believe it. We have 8 adults and 3 kids coming as of now. Possibly 7 more kids and 2 husbands. I am a little worried we may have to many guests for an Escape wedding.

Having a park wedding is only fitting as we met on match.com. I contacted him because he had a picture of the castle on his page.

One of my splurges will be having Mickey & Minnie. I am also thinking of a brunch and/or dessert party. Do you know if Escape brides can have a brunch or dessert party at AK or is that just for Wishes brides? And how is the food? We aren't all that thrilled with the food at Tusker House. AK would be such a contrast from a wedding at Sea Breeze Point.

We are going down in December for a few days but I am don't want to wait until then as I am worried we will lose locations. Planning on a late June wedding. In December we have Randy Chapman booked for some engagement photos. Still waiting to hear if he can do our wedding and his prices. If anyone has some price ideas I would appreciate it.

I did order the passporter wedding e book but won't get the link until tomorrow. My mom is coming down tomorrow for 2 days so I can't wait to show it to her.

Thanks for reading.

Bellaminnie-do you have a location, date etc picked out. (editing as I just read your other posts. We would like to pull this off this December as we are already going to be in Disney)

I am partly dreaming. It seems so expensive for just 2 of us. Granted if I didn't need a new roof on my house this winter I would have the money for the wedding I want I guess we could put off a wedding for a bit to save more money. Is Disney the only location you are looking at? We are also thinking of Key West or here in Maine but I really, really, really want a Disney wedding.

We have been to Disney several times and have eaten at several places. Probably any of the GF ones would be nice or the California Grill. I like the Boardwalk area too. Maybe any of the signature places or your favorite one. Have you ever looked at a site where you can see all the menus?

Have you seen Summer Caitlin's journal? The only guest she had was her Mom - she and her new husband had dinner afterwards at V&A's

Thank you for the link to the journal.

Calleigh-I would love to see a report. Have you done all you arrangements right through Disney? We were thinking of trying to pull ours off in Decemeber since we will be there anyway but I don't know it it will happen.

amyy - we don't have a location picked out yet. I was thinking we would have to do it by the end of oct but we may be able to wait till nov which is when we usually go to disney. we usually go at least once a year and i always wanted to get married at the wedding pavilion but that just not going to happened so i was looking for alternative locations near disney.

usually when we are at disney we rent a house and just eat there because i can never find a place that i like. yeah i would love to get married at disney and really have no other places in mind.

thanks eeyor's tailfinder - i'll check out her journal. started reading it at work but there was so much of it that i couldn't get thru much.

I thought I had read somewhere that for Disney you have to contact them at least 30 days prior. If you are looking for December I am sure there is no harm in contacting them sooner. This way you can see if there is any availabilty at all. If there is not now then there will probably not be any later and you can plan something else.

I would like to know what you find out or do about this too.... I am leaning more towards a private ceremony with just the two of us and then having a big reception when we return....
