seattle area hotel for park and fly

Hello, we are flying out of seattle rather than vancouver this year for obvious cost differences. I am hoping someone who has done this or lives in the area can suggest a good hotel/motel to stay at and park our car while we are away. I have been reading trip reports and finding no luck with a safe parking area at several, so I am hoping for some advice from the experts out there. We are leaving in December if this makes a difference.
Thanks
Cindy

I have lived here all my life and we always use Master park. They have lots A B AND C. The lot we always park in is A and there is a hotel in the same parking lot. Not sure what hotel. I want to say it's a Red Lion, but not for sure. In lot A, they also have an Alaska Airlines check-in kios located in the lobby. We always park here and have never had any problems ever. You drive up, they take your bags out of your car, place them on the shuttle, you tell them which airline your traveling with and they take you there, where they will also take your bags off for you. Usually we leave them a good tip because there always so nice. I think that the lots also have 24 security. Like I said before, not sure of every detail. All I can say is I don't think you'll be disapointed. There is also web coupons you can use. Happy Planning! Here is the link. http://www.masterparking.com/
Here is something I found on their website that I copied and pasted for you to see before you decide.

I am flying from Seattle rather than Vancouver too....I am also flying Alaska and saving SO much money....when you say Alaska Airlines check in? Does that mean they will take our luggage there?

no, the kios is for checking in to print your boarding pass and you check your bags in at the airport. Master park will just put your luggage in the shuttle for you and take you to the airport from master park. Does this make sense?

I'm pretty much using master park as well...thought about leaving the car at a hotel, but do not like the idea of a non secured parking lot, especailly in that area.

We come in pretty late on the way back thinking about driving across the border anyways....will have to see.

Hi...we flew to DL in may out of seatac...vancouver prices for flying were insane....we saved over 1600 dollars for our family...i really researched motels, and a lot of them had negative reviews on leaving your vehicle...we chose the best western rivers edge and it was great...it was 150 for the night and a week of parking...we were actually gone 10 nights, but they never charged us any extra for the nights....we parked right out front of the entrance, but the whole parking lot felt very safe to us...they were great with shuttling us both ways...i highly recommend them, plus VERY clean and very nice rooms..staff was also great... Happy planning!!!

The Doubletree at Seatac has a special "Park 'N Jet" rate that lets you stay one night and park for a week. Depending on when you go, the rate can be less than Seatac's one week parking rate. I've never used this personally, but my brother and his family do it every year and love it. I'd post the link, but I haven't posted 10 times yet so Disboards won't let me. Just google "doubletree seatac", then click on "Hotel Specials" in the second links bar.

Many years ago, I used to stay at Super 8 south of Seatac. They have a similar deal, stay one night and then park one week free. But the hotel is rather shabby, and the shuttle may not run on time (last time I stayed there, it was delayed while a woman finished her breakfast or something and we almost missed our flight) so I don't really recommend it.

Like the other posters, I've had very good luck at Masterpark. I stay at lot B which has valet parking and is close to where I come off I5.

Print out a discount coupon on their web site before you go, then when you return show the coupon to the desk clerk to get the cheap rate.

Another place I used to park years ago was Doug Fox travel. They're OK, but I prefer Masterpark.

And the parking garage at Seatac? Wow, that is pricey.

Thanks for all the replies. I think I am now leaning towards Masterpark, as the stay and park seem a little iffy on security. Thanks Again.

We just did this (arrived home last Wednesday) & we stayed with the Sleep Inn Seatac: http://www.sleepinn.com/hotel-seatac...t=&type=&map=n We were impressed. The room was a little small but we were only there for a short time. It was however clean & everything was in working order. The staff there was very kind & helpful. The breakfast is pretty good & starts at 4:30am! If you have an early flight that is a bonus! The shuttle to the airport was right on time (you book it the night before) & the driver was awesome! We parked our car there in an underground secured lot for 7 days & when we got back everything was just how we left it. Also upon arrive back at Seatac from LAX, the shuttle was very quick to arrive to pick us up & bring us back to the hotel. The rate was great as well!!! Check out tripadvisor. They have some pretty good reviews on there as well. We will be staying there again!!!

We are also flying form Seatac instead of Vancouver and I have made a reservation with Master Park. We live maybe 10 min from the border so we are just going to drive down the morning of our flight.

With masterpark, if you're an Alaska mileage plan member, you also get miles while parking there (even if not flying Alaska).

Now this is intriguing me. Underground lot? Secured? I'll have to look into this more.

I used to be a fan of the park/sleep/fly places, then they did a big expose of the theft from the lots, etc, and I stopped liking the idea.

But I also don't like the idea of a 7am flight when we live in Tacoma.

They have a parking lot underground with a locked gate that you need a room key to get into (you know like in apartment buildings, etc). There wasn't a security guard walking around or anything. That would have been better! But it felt safe enough for us. We didn't have anything of value in the car mind you.
