Less busy May 28th-June 5th or June 5th-June 12th?

We live on the West Coast so we can go for the week starting May 28th/29th-June 5th. I know it has Memorial Day so I figure that first weekend we could go to the less busy things and then after the holiday hit the big parks. I figure less people would be out of school for that whole week.

OR we could go the following week, but not sure when kids get out of school on the East coast.

Any guesses what might be less busy? If I knew the park hours then I would obviously just go with the time with the shortest hours.

Most likely will do waterparks 2 days, Seaworld 1 day, Busch Garden 1 day and then the rest Disney and figure can do the waterparks or SW on the busiest days.

Any thoughts or places I can look at that might help us decide?

We went this year on May 30-June 6, and it was not that bad. We did have to fast pass some rides(TSM, Peter Pan, Jungle Cruise, Buzz Light Year, and Kilamanjaro Safaris), but everything else was walk on or minimal wait. I think the longest wait we had was for Dumbo and that was only 30 mins, not long if you ask me. The busiest day we encountered was Friday June 5th at DHS,but that was b/c it was Star Wars weekends. It was still managable though. When we went Florida kids were not out of school until the weekend we left. So I would probably go w/your earlier date. Memorial Day weekend will be busy, but the rest of the week should be fine. Most kids on the east coast are still in school.

I would go the following week. The busiest times will be Fri - Mon of Memorial Day weekend. It's usually slower just before or just after a huge travel weekend like M. Day

You should be OK. We did May 16-June 2 and all the local parks. Memorial Weekend we were at Universal on Sat and it was OK. I fell for Busch Gardens.
Note that the "rainy season" starts in Mid May. I think it rained a while every
day and a lot on some of them. We usually go during Spring Break so the crowds seemed OK to us.

We went from May 31 to June 9, 2009. It was pretty manageable crowdwise until June 8. It seemed like people came from nowhere. Before that it was great.

Be aware that Gay Days are the first week of June. A different theme park is featured each day during that week. Evidently, the park featured is very crowded on that particular day.

Thanks for the website, it helps!

I am not bothered about Gay Days, we've been in past and as long as you avoid the park that the majority is going to, we didn't notice any increase in crowds. I did look to see which park was the main one people were planning to attend though.

Thank you for the feedback, it's a tough one for me to decide.

I made the mistake one year of going Memorial Day week and it was really crowded and super hot. Granted in June it's going to still be super hot but you'll find a lot less people taking their kids out of school since there are only a couple more weeks left. I would definitely say to do the week in June!
