What does this mean-SW says no boarding pass available

When I checked in this morning, I was able to print the BP for my cousin and daughter, but my name was in red and it said NO BOARDING PASSES AVAILABLE. It said I would have to check in at the counter. This has never happened to me before. Does anyone know what this means? Is something wrong?

I think that means you have been chosen for extra security screening. It's not a big deal. I couldn't find my license on our way home from WDW one time and had to do the extra screening. It took a little longer but I was still able to board with my DH and kids.

GL and have a great trip!

This used to happen to my DH all the time - apparently his name is similar to one on the no fly list. We get around it by booking his ticket in his First Middle Last Name instead of just First Last.

Is that the full "wanding" and pat down right there at security, or is that the - not sure of the actual term - TSA screening, where, in addition to full pat down, they stick you into a booth and blow air over you. That is supposed to find traces of explosives anywhere on your clothing.

I have an artificial knee and ALWAYS get the full wand/pat down. For that reason I always try to fly in shorts and a t-shirt, seems to speed things up. It' also why I hate to fly.

I know someone who had the full TSA search. He was late for his flight and was freaking out that he'd miss it but later was told that they will hold a flight if a passenger was selected for the TSA screening. I don't believe they do the full TSA screen in every airport, however.

Did you purchase a special fare ticket that requires you to "prove" age or something else to a real person?

Be sure to wear clean underwear that day.

Probably means you're selected for extra screening. Did the other passengers get C BPs? It could also mean the flight is overbooked and SW already gave out as many BPs as the plane has seats.

Now I'm really freaking out. My daughter's ticket was by itself and I did her's first. She got A45. My cousin's and mine were together and she got B1, so we were no where near the end of the BP's. I put in that she will need assistance, but it looks like if that was it, the note would have been on her name. I have a very common name. There wasn't anything unusual about the ticket. I did just get a SW Visa, but these tickets were not on it.

I feel a little better now. I called SW and the very nice lady assured me that everything was ok. She said sometimes they just don't have all the boarding passes available. She to just check in at the desk and they would print it out. I hope that's all there is to it.

Be prepared to get the last of the C boarding passes.

The last time I saw this happen was when they were sold out and the passenger had to wait to see if someone would give up their seat. Since your other tickets are OK, it must be a security thing. Make sure your traveling companions save you a seat! How annoying.

Actually, we have to pre-board because she will be in a wheelchair, so it doesn't really matter what number we get. It's the getting searched I'm sure about. I don't have anything to hide, so I'm not worried about that. I'm sure it will be ok.

Southwest does not allow the saving of seats.
