a few things going on in my life

i didnt know what else to title this, haha. instead of posting several seperate threads i thought i'd put a bunch of things going on in my life into one xD



1) so i made a deal with my mom the other day that if i got a date for homecoming i could get a new dress instead of wearing an old one, or borrowing one from someone (i have bought all my formal-y dance dresses new and would feel weird borrowing one or wearing an old one). i told my friends and apparently my friend took my phone at the football game last night & texted my guy friend-ish type person (some of the dear teen board readers may know him as 'kidwhomakesmecrazy' xD) and asked him to go to homecoming with me . [actually, due to her lack of ability to text on my phone the text ended up reading "hheey will you homecomingcome to homecoming with me!?"] he said 'sure' then texted me back later & said 'maybe' . i found that REALLY rude.

should i go ahead and find a new date, or wait on his answer?




2) last night, also at the football game, my mom's friends daughter in the grade ahead of me invited me to her sweet sixteen . i'm worried about being the only freshman and i wont get to go trick or treating cause its on halloween and every year me & my best friend (in the grade below me) do costumes together and go out xD i mean, i guess it's an opportunity to put myself out there and make new friends but i'm not sure .

do you think i should go?



3) my birthday is in december, and i dont really know what i want . my mom said would pay to fly rachel (rachel440044) up and stay with us . she's gonna talk to her mom and stuff I LOVE MY LIFE (: i want to have a birthday party too, but i don't want to ask for too much or seem ungrateful .

do you think its too much to ask to have rachel come up & have a party/ other presents ?

and if rachel cant come, what are some good things to ask for?


4) updates from my 'this is why i hate girls' thread
i'm friends with alyssa again. she changed for awhile & was really pleasant for a long time . but she's been slowly changing back . for example :

i cheer for my school . we had a game this morning . i thought the game started at ten and that we had to be there by 9 30 . turns out it STARTED at 9:30 . i got there at 9:23 and we only had a few minutes to practice stunts before the game because they couldnt start without me. everyone was SO mad at me, and i was really embarassed and i kept messing up the cheers and going to the wrong spots overall just a terrible morning .

finally the game is over and we are leaving , i was so relieved that it was all done and over and that i could go home . we are walking out and start talking to her boyfriend and his quite attractive friends . we're having a normal convo and she turns to me and says "p.s. everyone on the team hates you now" ... thanks ? in attempt to avoid another fight i just said "..thanks i noticed.."

then her mom didnt feel like driving to the school to get her so she asked me if i could drive her home , i said sure and called my mom to have her pick us up . nobody in my house was answering their phones for a long time & my coach was getting frustrated because she can't leave till everyone else does . alyssa kept complaining about how long it was taking for my mom to come . seriously ? i was doing her a favor . i could have just left her there if i wanted to .

advice?

2. I'd go trick or treating with your best friend

3. Aww that's awesome that your mom would fly Rachel out. I don't thinking asking to have a small party would be so bad but I wouldn't ask for a big, expensive gift or anything. Well I guess it depends on how much the plane ticket is.

4. That girl seems like such a snob. I think you're doing the right thing by avoiding a fight but you shouldn't have to deal with how she treats you. I would just try to avoid her as much as possible and hang out with better friends.

2. I'd go trick or treating with my friend but still send her a card and a small present and thank her for inviting me.

3. Maybe you can have just a small party for you and your friends while Rachel is there, that way you all could hang out. I wouldn't ask for too much else though, but I think a party would be fine.

4. That's really rude of her, I'd avoid her if she continues to act that way.

"Look, I don't wanna seem like I'm bothering you but homecoming isn't that far away.. So I'd kinda wanna know soon. So if you don't want to go with me, I will still have time to find a date."

2. I honestly think you should go with you BFF. I know I'd be upset if my best friend and I had a tradition and she all the sudden changed it and wanted to go out with other friends. That's just me, I'm kinda selfish

3. I would maybe ask if she could fly up there and if you can have like a sleepover while she's there. So she can meet your other friends. And a few presents wouldn't hurt. But Rachel would be your big present. lol

4. Sorry but that Alyssa girl sounds like a big B-word. lol. She sounds EXACTLY like my best friend. I really don't know what advice to give you since I'm kinda going through the same thing :/

1. Nope, I wouldn't wait. I would either find a new guy or go with a group of girls. Its his loss if you tell him no. Its nothing against you. Remember that.

2. Sixteen Bday party - Honestly, I would talk to your friend first about the party. See how she feels about you going. To me it kind of sounds like you're unsure of what to do. If it were me, I would be doing the halloween thing. Plus I hate going to parties knowing I won't know a soul except for the birthday girl.

3. To me, friendships are way more important that gifts. Its something that you'll always remember whereas with the gifts you may forget about them in a year or 2.
What do you want for your birthday? I hate that question more than anything! Maybe, money, giftcards, jewelry, ect? Meh, I'm no help.

4. Your 'friend' doesn't sound very cool at all. She sounds like she's got a pretty low self-esteem. Plus maybe a little rude too???!! I wouldn't get too close.

2. i'd say go out trick or treating with your friend first and then go to the party.
3. maybe just invite some friends round (they could all bring some food/drinks, too) and have a mini-party thingy in your house?
4. that girl sounds like a *****. I'd just gradually be less and less friends with her if she's gonna be all nice one minute, horibble the next..
