What really makes you choose your disney resort??
is it cost.... the food....the type of people....next year will be the first time in a deluxe resort probly the polly just because i will have a 1 year old and think it will be easer to get on the mono rail with all the baby things than a bus....other than that sometimes i cant see paying the extra $1000 for about a week plus we are never really at the resort.....give me some feedback please..........

I have stayed at all 3 levels. We tend to stay at All Stars more than the others because we can go more times a year. We loved Poly and considering you will have a 1 yr old I would definitely stay there. Even though you say you are rarely in the room being so close to MK will make naptime so much easier. To answer you question for me its about price and I enjoy the customer service I get at the Values, last weekend we went to Scottsdale, AZ for a trip that I won from Diet Pepsi. It was for the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa. I didn't think it was any better than All Stars except the bathroom (I would love that bathroom in my house) It just reinforced my love for All Stars and my family not needing to go Deluxe more than every other year.

For me, at this time, it's about what makes my girls (3, 8) happy. They are excited about the All Stars (movies and music) and the older one is ready for AKL. Neither one is excited about any other resorts and we toured all the ones by the monorail. To be honest, I would only be interested in the monorail deluxes for location because I don't love the theme of any of them. If they put the Beach Club or the AKL on the monorail I'd be thrilled hahaha. I wouldl looooove to have the convenience of the monorail since Epcot and Magic Kingdom are far and away my favorite parks.

I make a document that contains photos and prices of 4 resorts that I would like to stay at, hand it to my husband and say "pick one." And then he picks and I book. We try and stay somewhere new each time.

Most of the time for us it is price. We do WDW on a budget and we would rather stay at a mod or SOG and have money left for souvenirs and to be able to do other stuff like the water mice, putt putt, or even stay one or two extra days.

Transportation, so to a certain extent, location. Somewhere that is close to the places we want to go (so even if we're taking the bus, at least it doesn't take long to get there) and or has transportation options besides the buses.
Hoping to stay at either a monorail resort or Epcot resort next time ... and it's the reason that, although AKL has one of our favorite themes, we'd never do a whole vacation there. Too far away from everything else. Maybe a split stay (and only go to AK while staying at AKL), but not a whole vacation.
