Vero Beach... let's keep it neat and tidy! - The DIS Discussion Forums

We're at Vero Beach now and are having a fantastic time you'll be delighted to hear. This place is so so peaceful and is kept so neat and tidy so when we came off the beach this afternoon we were really surprised to see how many people had left towels on the sand - one or two you could forgive but there must have been about 20!

I know it's not my problem but whoever took the towels to the beach must have seen they were still there when they looked round to see if they'd collected all their belongings! There's a towel return bin just at the edge of the beach - there's no effort involved!

Disney staff take alot of time and effort ensuring that their property is kept beautifully clean for us - we should respect that.

We are at Vero right now and noticed the same thing as we were walking the beach this evening.

Still, It seems as if the chairs and umbrellas were put away then the towels thrown on the sand. Why wouldn't the workers put the towels away at the same time? Do they leave them in the sand in case their users are still in the water? I suppose what follows is a dominoe effect of people not wanting their towels any longer because the are covered in sand.
