Question about TS at California Grill - The DIS Discussion Forums

I am looking at the menu for California Grill. We have been before, however this is the first time on the DDP.

I would probably order is the Sushi (not the maki & nigri) and then would love one of the first course options. How would it work on the DDP if I wanted those 2 things to be my main entree rather than an actual entree on the menu?

If I have to pay for one of them and then use the other as my main entree, would i not be better off paying out of pocket?
Can DH use his TS credit and then I pay out of pocket for mine?
I am confused.

Generally, this kind of substitution is not allowed. You can always ask, but don't count on it. Are you aware that CG is two TS credits?

Yes, we are aware that it is 2 credits. That is why I am wondering if it is worth using the credits or paying OOP? Can we split it so DH uses his 2TS credits and I pay for mine cash?

I assume your on the normal plan.

The 2 credits will get you one item off the main course section. If you want to add a app or something from the 1st course menu you will have to pay out of pocket for it. The plan also includes a desert.

You can pay out of pocket for your meal and your husband can use 2 credits for his meal, there will be no problems with that.

If your on the deluxe plan you get an app or 1st course item as well included in the plan.

We stopped going to CG once they removed the appetizers from the DP as the sushi appetizers were our favourite part of the meal. IMHO none of the restaurants are worth 2 credits. I like your idea of paying OOP for one and using 2 credits for the other. That way you don't have to eat CS for another dinner.
