More Discounted MNSSHP Nights for members - The DIS Discussion Forums

I was not going to attend the MNSSHP this year because of the lack of discounts. Originally for October only 1 and 6 were discounted. As of this morning both the DVC site and AP site have been updated with some new additional dates. If you already bought tickets, you'll have to see if they will offer you a refund: (Oct. 8, 12, 15, 20 are new)

Tickets:
Disney Vacation Club Members can take advantage of specially priced tickets to this event*:

$49.00 + tax (Ages 10+)
$43.00 + tax (Ages 3 - 9)
*Available when tickets are purchased in advance for the following event nights:
September: 4, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29
October: 1, 6, 8, 12, 15, 20

Tickets sell out quickly, so act now!

Apparently, MNSSHP tickets are not selling as quickly as Disney anticipated.

Perhaps the same will happen for the MVMCP tickets. Think I will continue to wait before buying ours. Wasn't sure if we were going at those prices, anyway, LOL.

Yes, that is exactly what we are doing too. I vaguely remember them adding more discounted nights later, so I was determined not to buy tickets unless it happened again. Still high IMHO, but we are actually considering it now.

We're going on Halloween night and that certainly sold out!

I just called member services and they will not issue a refund because the tickets are non refundable. I guess next year maybe I will wait till I get there to buy them so this doesn't happen again.

Yes,it did, but it is the only one so far.

In the past, many of the Friday night parties sold out in advance as well.

Last year additional dates were added as well and the same thing happened to us. Disney also changed the park times as the holidays got closer.

Now if they would just add the 22nd we would be set. It's great that they are offering discounts, I just wish that they would have done this from the get-go because now it screws up my adr's. We didn't have adr's for the 22nd which is fine, but we do for the 20th. Chances are, I won't be able to get adr's for the 22nd at DS for a party of 8. I'm gonna certainly try though.

I see the 13th is not included in the list. Does that mean it is selling too well and will be crowded? I specifically chose the Tuesday instead of Columbus Day thinking it would be less crowded then. Sigh...
