My personal opinion is no, I think Disney has a cheek expecting an extra charge for these rooms at the Cheyenne and Santa Fe.
Lets face it, the "rio grande" is a stream with some shrubs and a concrete walkway alongside it (well, outside the Santa Fe and Cheyenne it is). Its got lots of trees and shrubbery the further along towards the Sequoia Lodge you walk, and is a pleasant way of getting to the parks each morning, but the rooms do not offer anything extra over any other room at either hotel.

I wondered when the first about this this would be.
![]() NO!!! Honestly from wherever your room is located at Cheyenne hotel it will take you less than 5 minutes to walk to the Rio Grande path. The same applies for Reception and the other amenities, everything is literally within a 5 minute walk, Disney are banking on the inexperience of new visitors by claiming this room is quieter, this one closer etc. Congratulations on your trip.

It would seem they are treating the stream rooms like the lakeside rooms at the Sequoia and New port bay. Trying to make a bit of extra cash. The only time I sat and looked out of my window was at the Disneyland hotel and we were overlooking the fantasia gardens. It was lovely watching everyone rushing to get to the parks on a morning.
We are there in three weeks at the Cheyanne and I will be happy with whatever I get. (I hope). Have fun |

It was busy when we arrived on the Sunday, but the rest of the days were fine! There were hardly any queue's, except for the most popular rides, which seemed to be Big Thunder Mountain, Autopia and Crush's Coaster ( which I and my 6 year old loved!
) All the others were no longer than 10 mins wait mostly, some were even walk on ![]() ![]() Hope you have a brilliant time
