Just walked into the house on 9/25
Forgive the spelling as I am just going to pound this out...
This trip has tied for the best Disney vacation I have taken. 1st was the first time with my wife and this one because me and my 4 year old just wandered all around MK just having a blast on serveral afternoons. Crowds Sunday through Wed. was very low crowds for the parks I chose. Walk on in the morning and 25 minute waits in afternoon. (TSM is the only exception with a max 60 minute wait later in the day) I did talk to some people with an iphone and they were reporting longer (+60 min) waits in Epcot on an extra magic hour day then on the day I was there. I really am a believer in skipping parks with extra magic hours. (Except if your going for the 8:00am park hop at 10:00am) Go to MK on MNSSHP days. It will be a low crowd day till about 4:00. Park hop or go eat dinner somewhere else. I did see a lot of people arive at the resorts on Thursday. It was like going from Low season to Mid season over night. MK was "packed" on Thursday with ride wait times for splash at 60 minutes. I don't know if this was because its a extra magic hours with only night with specro or if it had to do with all the guest I saw decend on the resorts. (I know 60 minute peak time is not high season but its more then I care to see) This weekend and next week will be mid season.... not low season. Get there early for rides and fill up afternoons with non wait time activities and have fun. Kids and Ages I took my oldest son when he was 2.7 years old. He was able to through lunch, nap, and run through dinner with no problem. This trip we took our 1.7 year old and he could make it from rope drop to 11am but by 12:00 he was in melt down mode. Your milage may vary by kid and outside temperature. If you are thinking of going only once then wait till your kids are 40 inches tall. If you don't go every year then wait to your child is 2.6 years old. (just what I think) My now 4.5 years old was awsome. We had a blast as he can ride the 40 inch tall rides now. It was so fun roaming the parks with him. Height Requiments Ok for all you by the book people.... go ahead I have thick skin. Chunck your rocks and even the kichten sink if you want. My 4.5 year old boy is 39.8 inches tall with sketchers shoes on. I found some size 10 heelys and it put him at 40.3 inches tall. They have NO wheels installed. They measured him twice at every ride and we never had an issue. MNSSHP I loved it. My son loves to trick or treat. I like the looks of the Christmas party but my family had more fun at the MNSSHP. Bay Lake Towers I LOVED IT INSIDE...AWSOME AWSOME AWSOME... but I think the lake sky line has suffered. Odds and Ends Air conditioning was fine in the buildings. Whishes was awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try watching them infront of Cystal Palace sometime. Only had one guy cutting to get to his family on splash mountain. Eating at H&V gave us a head start by 4 seconds to TSM as it gives you a different rope drop place and they let you go right as the main crowd comes. Go ahead and let your family ride and take the hit to get fast passes. And please don't push and shove little kids on your way there... shame shame on the adults I saw do this. I did see many people enter MK early and did not go to table service. They did not check for reservations that particular day. They were testing cars inside space mountian when we rode the people mover through it. I did get Ohanas at 7:05pm when I called at 4:00pm same day. I did see many people turned away from table serves. I had one of my best times I ever had here. Sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't. I think it all depends on the wait staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mine was awsome and she got tipped for it. Cast Members rocked except for one "special" CM person taking tickets into the MK was rude. Easily over looked but hard to forget. All the rest where great!!!!!!
