Microsoft SYNC for Ford - The DIS Discussion Forums

Does anyone have SYNC in their Ford? We bought a new Escape in July. My music seemed to be working fine until Sunday. It just kept indexing. It indexed for over a half hour. In fact, we arrived at our destination before the stupid thing finished indexing. It worked Monday but hasn't worked since (again). I have labeled all the fields on my itunes so I don't know what the problem is. I'm using my iPhone with the USB. Any suggestions? I have a call into the SYCN specialist at Ford but haven't heard back yet.

I'm looking at a ford product and in my research I found that Ford's exclusive rights to microsoft Sync technology ended in Nov 2008.

Have you uploaded onto your iphone the software from SyncMyRide? That is what kept mine from indexing like that. . .

Do you monitor the synch boards as well? Here is the link to the topic about the Iphone problem. I don't have the iphone, but it looks like it could be a problem with the iphone operating system.

I thought I read that software only worked for itunes that are run on Windows Machines? On the ford forums, I read a few posts that said it only worked on windows machines and you didn't need it for Mac. I'll take another look to make sure.
