New here need suggestions! Lots of questions!
Hi all! I recently got engaged and we are planning to elope. Our families went a little off the deep end with their idea of how our wedding should be, and well we give up. We cannot afford to live up to their expectations! We both LOVE Disney and we are thinking we may want to elope there! I am still in the beggining stages so I have a few questions! It will just be the two of us, and we are looking to find something beautiful and romantic, yet affordable. I do not want to break any Disney rules, cuz we appreciate the magical setting, but we are trying to do something a little more affordable. ![]() We are not crazy about Shades of Green or the Swan and Dolphin, just not what we are looking for. Any suggestions on a beautiful location OUTDOORS in the area where we can do a little ceremony? We want our dinner and photos to be on property somewhere, possibly Narcoosees or the California Grill, but the ceremony just needs to be beautiful and affordable. Something with some kind of pretty view. Are you allowed to elope on the Grand 1 or does that have to be the Escape package? Like could we have just us a Justice of the Peace and photo guy? If you guys aren't sure I will call and ask! If not, we can do the ceremony elsewhere first, then do cake and champagne on the yacht. How many people can be on the Grand 1? How much does the Grand 1 cost? Any local hotels that may have baclonys with a view of Disney Fireworks? Any suggestions of Disney area places that are magical and affordable?

There is a beautiful location right near Disney called Leu Gardens. I am sure they would be able to accomodate what you are looking for but I have no idea on the pricing. A friend of mine got married there earlier this year very small and had Randy do her pics.

I may be corrected here, but I'm certain I've read that you cannot have any wedding ceremony on site unless it's through Disney. I do have a cousin who married there, just her & hubby. They had a big reception when they got home with family & friends. Not sure how much it was. If money is tight, I suggest this, marry at home and honeymoon in Disney. IF you can find a way, do it. It's a dream come true!! Good luck!

You cannot have a wedding on Disney property without going through Disney.
The Grand1 holds 18 people and is $480 for 1 hour. Try this website for some locations: http://justmarry.com/index2.php

Wow thanks guys! Lots of info to look over. I could literally spend all day every day looking over this stuff!
Does anyone know how far Leu Gardens is away from Disney? Like how many minutes by car? |

Mapquest says about 42 minutes from the gardens to Disney.
