How's the Swan Different?

What can I expect from the Swan? We've always stayed on-site at one of the deluxe resorts. Our trip in December is a quick getaway weekend meeting up with some friends from other parts of the country.

This go around, we're not going to be able to swing for the deluxe. We love the Epcot resort area. Being a Starwood Preferred Guest, we'll rack up some points and save some money over the Disney resorts, but still be on-site. The Dolphin was booked.

My questions are: Is there a gift shop with Swan merchandise? Do we get the Disney channel with the Top Seven show? Any other things I should know?

Thanks!

Swan isn't much different aside from the fact that the decor does not really have much to do with Disney in the rooms itself. I do believe there is a gift shop in there. We have stayed at the Swan numerous times and we absolutely love it. It is a great way if you don't have the money to spend on a deluxe to say in a deluxe resort! I also do believe that the Disney channel is at the Swan as well. Enjoy it, I always love staying on Disney property, but this a definitely the closest thing to it.

The Swan and Dolphin a both very nice resorts. Great location close to the Boardwalk and Epcot. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy the trip.

While I prefer the Dolphin, I have no problems with the Swan. In fact, that's where I'll be for a few last nights in Dec...Dolphin was booked at my time as well.
It is a smaller, quieter resort. There is a gift shop there but I don't recall whether or not there is Swan merchandise. You can buy Disney stuff there though.

The beds are to die for in both resorts.

I also liked the fact that I got a paper each morning outside my door; I am a news junkie.

I also loved the water taxi to Epcot.
