No advice here. NotBob pointed out that I don't even let SD use the stove and he's getting his license. There is no way, in my mind, that I can ever be ok with him driving around, on the roads, with heaven knows who....
Sorry. I know that probably isn't helping you. Rest assured though....girls are much more concientous drivers than boys!

Nothing new to report. Eye is slightly less gruesome, slightly more painful. Dr. Seigel says it's healing great, and he'll see me on the 23rd. I guess that's good.

NotBob is home this week, so LOTS of together time. Ugh. (LOL, you guys know I love my DH, but tooooo much together time is not good) He's taking the boys to Cedar Point for the weekend though, so I'll be home ALONE all weekend!!!! YAY!!!!

It's cold and dreary here already. I'm already sick of winter and it's not here yet.

Oooh, how nice! D is off this weekend because we have the playgroup dinner party on Saturday. Which would be fine if he wasn't flying Friday now - so I get to prep all by myself. Yeehaw.

No, and I don't remember them offering me any protection plan or anything. I don't always go for them, but I did for my laptop and I can't imagine I would have turned it down if they had asked. I've never had phone insurance through AT&T, either - never needed it before, but still...

wow, Mel--you get the "most quotes" award! And we're glad you can see well enough to read the quotes!

Ab just called--she was at the school homecoming variety show...came out to drive home....and had left her lights on. Luckily, 2 guys are helping her--she was glad I showed her where the jumper cables are in her emergency kit.

We always get the insurance...since I have a tendencies to lose or drop (in the toilet) my phones

Boys are off to work and school I have to run to the pharmacy and then do a drive by of the place Jimmy usually gets his haircut. Not sure if they closed or what is going on but nobody has answered the phone for the last two days. He has to get his haircut this weekend, school pictures next week. THen I may go hang out at Borders for an hour!

I have to finish the laundry and do some minor cleaning.

Hope everyone has a good day

=================

yes Ab made it home fine! She said the 2 freshmen guys who helped her seemed very excited to assist! It was actually a good lesson in a safe spot--something we all do---and one of those things that I always reminded her when I was driving with her. But it sinks in more when you forget yourself!

I gotta head to work--nother day of inspections.

I'll take that award!

Well, Gus is home sick. SD went to school and is recovering from his cold. AND, Notbob told me he's coming down with something!!
I'm not sure how riding roller coasters all weekend is going to go for them, but it's paid for, so they're going!

Fortunately, they ALL have the day off tomorrow and can sleep and maybe get well.

I'm going to do some LIGHT cleaning. The house isn't awful, despite not being cleaned for 2 weeks, but I have a friend coming for lunch and I at least want to vacuum and mop. I'll be careful though!

Janet, you reminded me that SD needs a haircut! Thanks!

TE, that's a good lesson to learn, as you said. Happened to me in H.S. when I was working at Sears. All the cute boys ran to help. Too bad they wouldn't if it happened now....LOL

Can't be any worse than me...locking the keys in the car, and the car was still running. ALthough that was a year or so ago

all around. Mel, I'm glad you're feeling better.

Dawn & T any better today?

CE, what about eBay for a new phone?

TE, maybe that's why my parents made me wait to get my license.

Janet, what are you getting at Boarders? I'm always looking for something new. Have you read anything by Peter Abrahams? Apparently Stephen King really likes him, which I didn't find out until after I read it. I don't read much SK but it's interesting to see who authors enjoy.

Mitch has a colonoscopy tomorrow and he's really freaking about it. He knows he's out for it and everyone at work tells him it's no big deal. Although I know I will too when I have to get one.

Tell him that it's no big deal really. The only bad part is the prep before and it's only for a few hours. As I tell everyone who has one, what torture CAN'T you endure for a few hours?!? I mean, even if it's the worst day of your life, it's only ONE day. right?

Morning, girls.

I'm supposed to go to bible study this morning, but I think I'll do the shortened version of it. We have a breakfast time, then a speaker. After that we go to small groups. I think I'll duck out before groups, though. I just can't muster up the energy to be out and about for hours. My back is still killing me.

Last night I talked to K about helping me out a little more and how bad I felt for asking for help, but that even thought I don't constantly say something, I'm always in pain. He was sweet and said to just ask, but sometimes I wish he'd ask me so I don't feel bad asking for help, you know?

The car's supposed to go into the shop today. I know they want me to wait until Monday so they don't have to pay for the rental over the weekend, but I don't care. I want my car back. Hauling in and out of K's tall truck isn't very fun.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Take it easy, Lefty. Don't do too much and stay away from those germs!
Um... I lost all my thoughts. Sorry. I'm reading along, but I'm not in the mood to post much. Hugs for everyone, though.
