Ticket use question
Hi all! I'm new to posting here, but have lurked on this site many times and gotten so much helpful information.
We have a disney package which includes one day of park tickets for our family of four which we had to buy in order to get the free dining plan. (We have a cast member relative who will sign us into the park so we didn't need to buy more than what was required.) My question is, can we separate the four tickets we purchased to use one at a time on different days to make the best use of our relatives "sign ins" (they get 3 people in on one sign in, so a purchased ticket would be the 4th)? Hope that makes sense! Thanks! |

I'm not sure I totally "get" your whole situation with relatives & a CM and all, but ...
Unused tickets can be given away. You can ask at the resort for them to remove your 1 day tickets from your KTTW cards and put them on paper ticket media, from everything others have said here. And that said, I was unable to get the Poly concierge to do that for me in June - she flat out said it couldn't be done. But I know that's not true, but they wouldn't do it for me. It wasn't that important, so I didn't press the issue or try on a different day.

You can definitely seperate the tickets from your KTTW cards (although technically you don't have to... you can just use them as is on the cards).
However, from what you're saying, it sounds like you're going to have your relative get 3 of your family members into the parks on each day of your trip and you'll need to provide a ticket for the 4th person. If you're going for three days or less and not planning on doing any park hopping, then it probably just makes sense to just one of those one day tickets each day for the 4th person. If you're going for more than three days however, or planning to park hop then it will make more sense financially to upgrade one of the 1 day tickets to include all the days for your trip (and the park hopping option, if necessary) and then just save the other three one day tickets for a later trip. |

You'll want to note, though, that the one-day tickets you purchased with the package are one day / one park tickets. The tickets you'll get when you're signed in by your CM relative are one day park hoppers. If you're planning on hopping on any of those days, you'll need to either add the hopper option to the other one-day tix, or you'll have to use more than one one-day / one-park ticket per day. (You can do this if you have four seperate tickets, but not if you have one four-day ticket.)

The resort front desk folks can't do anything with tickets. The resort Concierge folks can do more with tickets, but they can't put them on paper ticket stock, only plastic cards (the same stock as KTTW cards), because that's all they have.
