Which night between these two?
Thursday October 8th, wouldn't be able to arrive until right around party time-6:30 or 7pm due to flying in at 4 and taking the slow train (ME) to WDW.
OR
Friday October 9th, would get there at 4pm on the dot.

I'm wondering if the extra 3 hours would be worth waiting until Friday, but I've heard Fridays are a lot more crowded due to locals. Our flight is short 2 hours- so travel fatigue should not be a problem.

This may be our only time at MK due to the massive crowds expected for Columbus day weekend.

I'm hearing conflicting advice from the so called experts. Now I want to see what the real experts think.

I would go with Friday. What if there is some kind of hold up at the airport or with transportation?

Friday. The crowd level at the park during the day won't matter, as this is a separate ticket event. You can enter at 4:00 and get your wristband, and have a few hours in the park before the party starts. (Even if you're not using park-hopper tickets, you can use your ticket that morning for a different park, then use your party ticket to enter at 4.)

Ditto. With my luck, this would be the plane with mechanical difficulties, I'd take off and get in 3 hours late, and get to MNSSHP at 10:00 or 11:00, if at all.

You're safer sticking with Friday.

Definitely Friday since there is no guarantee with a flights. Odds are it won't be a problem but that would be the ONE time something delayed things horribly.

I don't think the crowds will be that bad on a Friday to take away the enjoyment.
