Playhouse Disney Dance Party? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Has anyone been recently - if so, when, where is it? What characters are there? Can a 19 month old who can walk feel safe dancing with them, i.e., not getting trampled by older kids? Thanks!

We went when they had it in 2006 & 2007 it was at MGM now called Hollywood Studios.
Little Einteins, JOJO, Goliath, Mickey, Minnie, Bear in the big Blue house were there, probably more just can't think of them right now. I'm not sure if they still do it but if so it would depend how crowded it was.

You might want to search the board. There was a thread on this a couple of months ago. IIRC, it happens on EMH days.

We went to the Dance Party in June 2009.

They rotate the characters (I think every 15 - 30 minutes). We saw Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, JoJo and a few others. Let me tell you--Goof could dance!

Get in line early. They played a lot of fun music.

As far as an 18 month old get trampled--hard to say--I think it would depend on how crowded it was. When the new character comes out all the kids to run to the new character. Have a great time!

I dont know about this year but we went last year when DD was 2 and it was VERY crowded. DD was almost knock down a few times. DH was right there with her to make sure she wasnt. When the characters came out -- FORGET IT! DH grabbed her and ran!! There were a lot of older kids when we went. And the bubbles!! There was bubbles and everyone chasing them to pop them.

I am sure we will try it again. But boy was it crazy!!
