HHN--First Impressions

Employee preview last night, and although I am not an employee, some friends got me in.

Only saw four houses, but of those, Wolf Man was the best. Amazing sets (the outdoor woodsy one is still stuck in my mind), impressive costumes, some great scares.

I've only seen the first Saw film, and wasn't a fan, but the Saw house is also very impressive. Definitely captured the "vibe" of the movie, and has some interesting set pieces. Probably the biggest number of scares, as well...people all around us were literally jumping back throughout the house. If you are a fan of the movies, I could see this being your "House of the Year."

Leave It to Cleaver felt more about the dark humor than the scares, but was still alright.

Dracula was a bit disappointing. Mostly his brides, and Marie Antionette look-alikes just don't really freighten me. Another impressive set, though.

Missed Bill & Ted, sadly, but got dragged to RHPS again. Same as the past two years, still don't get the appeal, and apparently neither does 80% of the audience. And whatever appeal screaming at a movie screen might hold, it just seems down-right rude when people are actually singing 20 feet away. And they cut the best song of the movie. Honestly, I don't know why they can't just keep Beetlejuice open.

Bloodbag jello shots were back, no flashing cups yet.

I'll be at HHN next Thursday on my birthday after I pick up my birthday giftcard at Disney.I'm hoping for short waits for the houses. What do you think the wait will be for the houses on the first Thursday of the month,I'll be there for S&S so I'll get a head start on the houses but with 8 houses this year I'm just hoping I can get them all in.

my friend is an employee and got me in last night. we made it on 6/8 houses and bill and teds show. i haven't seen the saw or chucky movies and those lines were long so i went on the rest..

my favs were silver screams and the wolfman..and worst being leave it to cleaver.. i would skip this one and see the others instead.. i want to go on silver screams again just b/c it incorporated a lot of movies and was really well done..

cleavers theme is butcher shop with kids..so thats basically the entire house along with a terrible odor that made me want to get out of the house asap. kids with knives cutting meat isn't scary to me.. i'm not giving anything away since you can easily look up the theme.
