Suites at Old Town...need advice please
My wife found a hotel near Disneyworld called the Celebration suites (Formerly the Suites at Old Town). The rate for a suite is incredibly low at 42.95 per night even on weekends. I am scared that it is a junk hotel that is old and beat up. I know the economy is down but this seems way too cheap to be a decent place.
Has anyone stayed there recently? Anyone near by that wants to check it out and give us a review? Please let me know. Thanks much, Mark |

It is a 30+ year old motel that has seen MUCH better days. While the price may be "right" don't expect much. I'd look around for something better myself.

OP- We stayed there about 10 years ago and said never again. It was in bad shape then. This last year we rented a 3 bedroom/2 bath condo near Champions Gate. It's a little bit further drive, but well worth the additional space, not to mention the full stocked kitchen, washer and dryer and gated parking lot. I rented through easy choice vacation rentals. Just google to find them. We paid $400 total for a week. Did I mention how nice and clean the condo was and they were just built in 2006.
Good luck in your search! Just avoid the Suites or be sure to bring your cleaning supplies and bug killer!

If I were you, I'd look at the reviews on Trip Advisor.

I just stayed there on August 28th, we were driving down from Atlanta and arrived in Orlando around midnight and just wanted a cheap room for the 5 of us. At $45 it was not bad. It is basic, but was clean. The living room had a murphy bed which was nice not to have to pull out the couch for my brother who said the bed was actually pretty comfortable. The bedroom was a decent size, with a closet and a vanity area. The kitchen had a 2 burner stove that was probably 20 years old (never used it), a large coffee pot, a full refrigerator. Just remember it is a $45 room. If I was doing the parks from open to close and just using the room for sleeping and getting off in the morning I would stay there, if you are wanting a relaxing place to have a hotel day and relax around the hotel this may not be the place for you. Hope this helps
