Wishes Dessert Party - Help, please!
I'm sure this has been asked, but I haven't had time to check, sorry!
Can someone explain to me how the party works? If Wishes is at 8pm on the night we hope to see it, will they stop serving dessert at 8pm or how does that work? Do they leave things out for a little bit after the fireworks begin? Also, we really want to see Spectro, too. That starts at 7pm on our night. How would I fit that and the dessert party in; is it possible?? Should I try to catch the parade and do a party time around 7:25? Will that be enough time to enjoy ourselves before Wishes?? TIA!! |

I also have been trying to get it since it was extended yesterday. I just got off the phone and the CM I had said that yesterday when she was unable to book it for any of her guests not attending the VMCP but was able to book it for those going on the VMCP nights she finally looked up the dates it was being offered and according to her they are only offering this on the nights of the VMCP. Not sure if that is accurate but it is what I was told. Sure enough when I asked for a night the party was on (we were undecided on going to the party) I got it right away.

Please note this is from my experience at the party and I can't guarantee that Disney will not change it...
We did not go on a spectro night, but I did speak with some CM's. You really can NOT see Spectro from the party... You would need to go to Main Street. The party starts 1 hour before (approximately) and you DO NOT have in/out rights. Once you are in, you are in unless to use the facilities. So getting your wristband, going to see Spectro and coming back would not be allowed. The desserts are refilled until Wishes starts (yes they are suppose to be). Once Wishes starts the desserts stay up but are not replenished. Once Wishes is over they give you a cushion (15-30) then everything is taken down. They DO NOT have to give the cushion though.... So for your night, I would recommend doing just the party and seeing Spectro another night if possible. Or, resign yourself to the fact that you will only get 15-20 minutes to get your desserts then watch Wishes. Good luck on your decision. |

We just did the dessert party last week on a Spectro night.
Our reservation time was for 8:05 (9p wishes). We were told to be there 15 min before our time, so we got there at 7:50. They didn't start letting anyone in until 8:15, we were seated around 8:20. For some reason, Spectro was just starting. I don't know if this is normal for an 8p spectro, but it would be cutting it close to go see it first, then go to the dessert party. We could see spectro from our assigned table, but not well. I would recommend seeing it on a different night if you really wanted to enjoy it. It wasn't a priority for us this trip, so our viewing place was fine and very stress free. |

I was told the wishes party is only on MVMCP nights which was not worth it to us. I called back and spoke to a different CM and i got tix on a non xmas party night. She said I was told the wrong info.
