Be careful what souvenirs you buy!

When we were at WDW a few weeks ago, my DDs and I loved Expedition Everest. At the EE gift shop, I bought an awesome fleece jacket with super cool patches on it. I've been wearing it around and not really thinking about it. Last weekend we went to a picnic and while I was standing around, a guy looks at me and asks me when I did my climb. I was like, hunh?? Suddenly, I realized he had noticed my jacket and thought I'd climbed Mt. Everest! I had to explain that it was from a ride at WDW. Then, about 10 min later, the same thing happened again! I either have to stop wearing this jacket in public or come up with a better story.

Tell them, although you did not climb Everest, you did spend as much money, did as much planning, and expended the same amount of energy as if you actully did the real climb.

Hey- that's a pretty good story! It's nice to know you can still buy such high quality souvenirs, with all the junk out there!!!! Awesome!

I have to buy it for my husband and give it as a present...and when people ask him I'll get a good laugh.

The same thing has happened to me when I've been wearing my EE Mountain Rescue t-shirt. People are always like, "Whoah, you did mountain rescue at Everest. Impressive." Then I have to tell them that's it's really just a shirt from Disney World. It's still pretty funny!

You could always just tell everyone who asked that you were chases away by the yeti.

Another souvenir cautionary tale: I bought a Mickey snow globe at the Disney Store in MCO and absent-mindedly tried to take it onto the plane

Just tell them the climb is ALOT easier ever since the train has been in place!

Oh yes, I've conquered Everest several times, and my son's done it more times than he can count!
