Ma's Surprise Birthday Trip to FW Cabins!!!

Alright, for those who were with me on the PTR, here's the TR. Little background, I planned a trip for my mom, started in February of this year, we finally told her in June, I think it was. She was utterly speechless!! My DH is in the Coast Guard, and found out he wasn't going to be able to make it, so I forced my sister to come and have fun with us. So...first up, the cast....Me.

I am a CG wife, for 12 years, and love every minute of it. Here's a pic of me and my dear Hubby, who I missed on this trip dearly!



Next is my darling son, he is my life, and my baby, no matter how big he gets!!



Next is my ma. I've been trying to get closer to her, and have succeeded. This is when we told her about the trip.



Last but not least is my dear ol sister. What can i say about her? She doesn't share my love of disney, but she went, and was a trooper. I hope she had fun!!



I tried REAL hard to get a picture of her NOT making a face!! But, I can't find one!! So, there's the start, next up, getting to the cabin, and Ohana!!! MMMMM!!! And, Did we get rained on again?? Oh NO!!!

Great start . I can't wait to read more. I am more excited about my trip now that it is almost time. I have everything laid out, that hasn't already been packed, and I will pack Dale's stuff as soon as House goes off.

House was AWESOME .

I just wish the time would stop dragging so slow. I am not feeling good and the time dragging is making it worse . Sunday would probably be the best day to meet up since I'm not sure exactly what time we will get there Saturday. If it looks like we may be early Saturday I will give you a call and maybe we can meet up and have lunch in DTD.

Everyone!!!!! Glad ya'll found me! Yea, ma was surprised, and happy, then she started worrying about some of the bad reports she read on here about food and such, so I told her not to worry, it is what we make it. So, I made Tina shrimp scampi the morning before we left, and it was GOOOOOD!!!!! I didn't know I could cook so good!!! So, we go to bed early, and I got up early on leaving day. Had to wake Tyler up early for him to finish his school work, since I didn't want to take it with us, he was dragging his feet all weekend So, he's finishing up math, while I'm putting the coolers together, and packing the ice. I did remember this time to leave one ziploc baggie full of ice in the bag, since they must empty the ice makers there. Ma gets to my house around 9:30, and as she was putting her car in the garage, her mirror hits the back end of my car!! She didn't realize it, and it didn't do much but a small scratch, Tyler's bike has done worse LOL So, we put the suitcases in first, and then the coolers, and then the food, the back of my explorer was PACKED!!!

We leave my house, earlier then I planned, which is always good, head to the bank where I work to get $$, and then we get gas, and head out. There wasn't much traffic, for a tuesday morning, and we got to FW at about 11:30. There was NO ONE in line for check in, and I must have had a new lady, she didn't seem to know what she was doing, but I was in no rush, so patience is always the first hting I pack We get our cabin assignment, we're in 2310. We get there, I was worried about what Ma and TIna was gonna think, they can be critical sometime But, they look around, and LOVE the cabin. OH thank GOD!!! So, we unpack the car, get things put away pretty quickly, I unpacked my suitcases in the drawers, so we can have room, and put the empties in the the car. I wanted ma to rest before dinner and MNSSHP, so Tyler and I went to the pool! We were close to the cabin pool, so we walked there, and it was NICE, there was NO ONE in the pool, and it was 2pm!!!! We swim for about an hour, and then go back to shower and get ready for dinner. We left at about 4ish for the marina, and get on the boat to head to Ohana for dinner. Here's some pics I snapped on the boat.

So, we get to Ohana, and there's a HUGE line to check in. So we get in line, and wait our turn, get checked in, and then seated almost immediately. We order drinks, and I FINALLY got my pineapple drink!! This, is the Lapu Lapu!!

And then we sat and talked, the Lapu lapu was STRONG, the reviews are right on, just need ONE!!! So, Tyler was playing with my camera, and I got these!!

The food was really good, especially the steak!! the bread pudding was to DIE FOR!!!! We finished every last bit of it! I didn't get any pictures of the food here, we were trying to get to MNSSHP. We got out of dinner to get on the monorail...and guess what?? IT'S RAINING!!!!!!!! So...hoping it wouldn't last too long, we got to the MK, and headed in. Ma went to buy ponchos, and I didn't want mine, so I put it in the trick or treat bag. I got LOTS of pics of the halloween party, so I'll update that one tomorrow!!!

All right for the first part of your report I love Tyler's shirt. I have a question for you. Did you use dark transfer sheets instead of light for that color Tshirt? Thanks, I only made light colored ones for our last trip but I know I want some dark colors too this time.

Can't wait to see your MNSSH pictures. Oh and I hope it stopped raining.

I read your pre-trip and am glad to find the TR. Love your mom's surprise face. That is a cool thing to do for your mother. Sounds like a perfect first day. Some quiet time and fun. Ready to see if it rains all night.

Yep, I use the dark transfer sheets, that's ALL I use, I used the light ones early on in the shirt making, and found I didn't like them, so just use the dark ones now. I'll have some more pics with his shirts, made just about all of them!! It was fun, and he enjoyed it!!

Thanks Ginny!! And I hope you enjoy, I'll try to get it out, but I also don't want to miss anything either....we had a great time, and glad my mom got to go. She was real tired for a few days after, but she said it was completely worth it. Stay tuned, a new installment is up next!!

So, we get to the halloween party, and it's RAINING!!! UG!! Ma goes in to buy ponchos, but it wasn't raining THAT bad. So we go plugging along, walk right on to Pirates, then hit a few trick or treat areas. Tina said she hadn't been t&t'ing in decades!! LOL Nope, she doesn't have kids!! So, we figured we're wet already, so hit splash mtn, walk right on!! Went around, hit some rides, and HM was awesome all lit up and stuff. I didn't have my camera out cause it was STILL Raining. Get of HM, and.....IT STOPPED!!!! The sky was clearing, and it was NICE!!! Little humid, but NICE!!!

So, we head over towards fantasyland, hit some rides there, FINALLY remember my camera, I always forget I got it LOL And take this one as Ma and I are getting on the teacups.



We ride a few more things, and it's time to stake out our spot for the fireworks. So, we get a spot along the fence just to the right of the castle, and I run to get us drinks. It got quite crowded at this spot, and I managed to take some pics of the fireworks.







After that, we went on the Tomorrowland Speedway, and ride that real quick, that was the only big line of the night. After that, we go to stake out our spot for the second parade. Who ever said the second parade was less crowded....was FIBBING!!!! It was PACKED!! But, worth it. Got some good pics while waiting....

Then, here comes the man, the headless horseman!!

We left and caught the boat back to the fort after this, and Ma felt like having a drink and playing cards, so we stayed up until 2am playing cards and drinking!! It was fun!! LOL I brought a bottle of malibu rum, and dropped it while unloading the car, didn't have any issues until when we're going to pour our second drink...the top broke, and glass got in the rum...BUMMER!!! So, no more booze for me....at the cabin anyways That will come into play later!!

Next up...Animal Kingdom!!!! And, what time will we wake up after playing cards???????

Thanks Leslie, and I took like 4 other shots, and that's the best one I saw. He hung out on the bridge where we were at for a while, so I was able to see him without the camera view LOL And he is just awesome!!! I was REALLY looking forward to him!!
