Cat 2 stateroom for family or Cat 6 and 11

Looking for some advice. We have the opportunity to book a Cat 2 stateroom for the 5 day Bahama cruise. The other option is 2 staterooms cat 6 and 11 - traveling as a family of 6. Obviously there is a huge price difference, and I am new to cruising on the Disney Cruise Line. Could someone please offer any experience if the price difference at the Cat 2 level really makes your trip that much better than going with the two separate rooms. I am trying to have my practical side win over my spoiled side, and I am struggling with this decision. Thanks for any information/thoughts you might have.

It really depends on how much you want to spend. Yes, the suite is magnificent. You'll be able to book Palo, excursions, etc. at 105 days. You'll have the concierge at your beck and call. You can order Palo from room service every night if you want to. So, for 5 days, you can live as queen/king of the world. Huge balcony...etc.

Now, dose of reality. I'd do a 6/11 or a 7/11 because I could do 2 cruises for the cost of one suite.

How much time will you spend in the cabin? If you'll really USE the suite, it might be worth it to you. If you use the cabin to sleep, shower, and change clothes....maybe not.

My experience is that the longer the cruise, the more time I spend in my cabin.

Did you price out connecting cat. 5, 6 or 7 cabins? That way you can open up the doors between the 2 cabins instead of being across the hall from each other. Or if you don't need a verandah you can book connecting cat. 8 or 9's with a large porthole.
