Illuminations from CBR beach

Can you really see the illuminations from CBR beach? If so, all of the beaches or just certain ones? Is it very crowded? Appreciate any feedback. I would much rather do this than fight the crowds if the view is decent.

In August 2008 we could see the very top of the fireworks, but that's all. What we saw was very intermittent as much of the show is lower than the visibility from the CBR beach. It was a pleasant surprise since we didn't expect to see anything and just happened to be outside when it started, but it's certainly no substitute for seeing the show.

Last year we were able to see it fairly well from the main pool area. Certainly not a substitue for being there, no audio, etc. We did enjoy watching from the pool, however.

Seeing the high fireworks of Illuminations is nowhere close to being a substiture for being there and seeing the show from around the WS lagoon. It is not a decent view in that regard.

Illuminations is not a fireworks show like Wishes. There are a few fireworks at the beginning and the end, and you can see the higher ones from the CBR beach, but it's only a couple minutes' worth.

The globe, fire, water and light effects that make up the show take place on the World Showcase lagoon and can only be seen from inside Epcot.

Illuminations is one of Disney's best nighttime presentations, IMO, and is well worth braving the crowds to see.

If the conditions are right you can also hear the music. I agree it is worth going to the park to see Illuminations. It is nice though to sit in a lounge on the beach and watch the high ones.

Like everyone else has already said, seeing Illuminations from the CBR is certainly no substitute for seeing Illuminations from Epcot. We did, however, enjoy sitting on the Martinique beach and watching the higher fireworks. We have also seen them from the Jamaica beach and Old Port Royale. There are no crowds to speak of.
