Anyone else like to see more Mickey and Minnie at MK? - The DIS Discussion Forums

I am liking the new FL layout. However, I am thinking that it is time that Mickey and Minnie have grand new homes that cater to their status as the king and queen of the Magic Kingdom. Am I wrong? Am I the only one that feels this way? My kids are HUGE Mickey and Minnie freaks, we cannot get enough at our house. I would really like to see the imagineers move the country houses or redo them completely and possibly upgrade them to a neighborhood with Goofy, Donald and Daisy.

I seriously think the roots of the MK have been forgotten! What do you think?

I would like to see the build a Toontown like disneyland's...maybe even a bigger & better one for them over at DHS. I think mickey and the gang would be right at home in Hollywood studios.

And, Mariepapa, I can't see how the MK's roots are being forgotten. I don't think that's true at all.

ITA! I'm not tore up over the new plans b/c IMO toontown isn't that great and doesnt' give MnM the credit they deserve. The houses are cute, but really thats all there is. the space around is just blah. I'm hoping with the move Disney does this right and MnM get put somewhere Grand.

DHS is a good idea I didn't think of. With the playhouse disney stuff thats there, they could easily this off; just placement would be an issue. And if they did this, then the 'cars' charachters would fit better too.

I've always felt that MK needs more Mickey and Minnie (and Goofy, Donald, Pluto and Daisy). And now with Toontown going, I think it will need more of them even more. I am hoping they have some good plans that we don't know about...
