New Year's Eve - Where to go?

Any suggestions on which park for New Year's? It will be my DH, DD14 & DD10. I want it to be a fun night. Does any one know if there are any fun restaurants to go to for New Year's that are kid friendly?

Thanks!

MK will be packed If you chose that park, plan to spend your entire day there as it will close due to capacity.

EPCOT can hold the crowds better. They will have two showings of the holiday version of Illuminations: one at normal time and then again at midnight.

I went to DHS last year after eating dinner at the Flying Fish (on the Boardwalk). I don't know if that park ever closed due to capacity. I entered it at around 6:00 pm. I got onto Rock n Rollercoaster within (I think) 15 minutes or so (can't recall) via the Singles line. Walked onto Star Tours. Didn't bother waiting in line for Tower or Toy Story Mania and hung out watching the Osborne lights and just enjoying myself until midnight. They shot off fireworks at midnight while a live band played.

As for restaurants: All places at the MK are family friendly and if you choose that park; I still advise you to spend the entire day there and not leave.

EPCOT and DHS you can chance to leave the park for somewhere else to eat dinner should you not like the park's dining selection. There's still the possibility of the park closing due to capacity, especially the closer to midnight you are, but it's not a guarantee like the MK will be. Most people do enjoy eating at the world's showcase. DHS is a park that many people have more difficulty in finding food that they enjoy but it does have the 50's Prime Time Cafe and the Sci-Fi Diner for fun atmospheres and the Hollywood Brown Derby for a nicer meal. Both EPCOT and DHS will have plenty of alcohol flowing that night but the MK will still, as always, be dry. Have fun!

Thanks. DHS sounds like good alternative. We are braving the crowds for Christmas at MK - just can't image being anywhere's else if we are going to be there for Christmas.

You'll have fun! I spent last Christmas Eve at the MK and then Christmas Day at EPCOT. Just utilize FP and have an idea of a plan going in and keep a laid-back attitude to deal with the crowds and you'll do fine. Also, if you plan to be at DHS or EPCOT for NYE - go to the MK on the 30th. That's what I did - well, I got there just at midnight on the 30th. They'll do a trial run of the NYE fireworks at midnight on the 30th. They'll act just like it's NYE and the crowds won't be all that bad! Then there will be EMH at the MK.
