We're back home ~
And we had a lovely time. Flew into LGB Sat. morning, had a late breakfast with Lilo & Stitch and Pluto, Minnie & !Daisy! The kids had the buffet I ordered from the menu. We spent the afternoon in the Grand's "Great Hall" and it is lovely, exploring DTD shops ~ we were able to check into our room around 2:30 - got bunk beds! We were the last room at the end of the hall but this was OK ~ our view: the other hotels, to the side DTD roofs and what did I hear when I closed my eyes to go to sleep ~ fireworks! I stepped onto the balcony and was able to see them if I twisted my body into a somewhat uncomfortable position. Moving back a bit ~ the kids swam in the pool, kids pool and slide were down so we were able to swim at the DLH hotel/use the slide in the evening after dinner at GK ~ which I very much preffered over our breakfast this past Dec. - we visited with Pluto, Cinderella, Aladdin, Goofy & Minnie - Chip & Dale were wandering around but we didn't wait for them *needed to get to the pool before the slide closed!
So we have now spent one night @ each of the Disney Hotels ~ DLH is my fave! GCA is too $$$ (they all are really) ~ anyone can enjoy the "Great Hall" but the room was just a room. Sun. ~ our MM and it was the best ever! We were #1 on PP! Had Dumbo to ourselves! Made our way to Toad, Alice, Teacups, and then Matterhorn twice! We then strolled over to Frontier Land for Thunder Mtn. for park opening. We then had brunch at Chip & Dale's at the Grand ~ DS had the buffet, DD & I split the Banana French toast ~ yum! We visited with Terk, Kenai & Koda. We then checked out of the Grand and spent some time in DCA ~ kinda awkward having our entire luggage with us but we managed. We went to the Aladdin show ~ 2nd time for us, just as fun as the 1st time. After this DD visited with Jasmine & Snow White outside the Animation Bldg. across from Monsters Inc. ~ much shorter lines the PFF and just 1 less princess. We then went to check in at the Anaheim Plaza ~ decent place for $52 per night. We had a view of the TOT ~ not the prettiest bldg. but still nice - this place is very walk able - we crossed Harbor at Disney Way and walked on the Disney side of Harbor. We napped (well the kids did - I wanted to but it didn't happen) then made our way back to DL for the evening. Had a lovely spot for Magical but Tink & Dumbo were not present. Then made our way over to our spot by the light tower for F! Mon - PP 1st again however we were not #1 perhaps #7, then Toad followed by Matterhorn ~ complaint - why run 1 side only of Matt. on Mon. & Tues.?!? We had an 11:30 PS at BB - all 3 of us shared the Monte Cristo ~ no split plate fee - it was brought out on 1 plate I did the splitting. Even doing this it was hard to finish the Cookie Boat which isn't as exciting anymore - no mast. We hopped over to DCA in the afternoon and back to DL for Billy Hill & the Hillbillies ~ a 1st time for us - we loved it, DS was LOL ![]() Tues - DL only day, 1st thing DD & I waited in a too long line to meet fairies ~ it was kinda worth it - DD has previously visited with Fawn & Silvermist - this time Rosetta! Another new thing ~ we rode the Columbia ~ it was hot and I'm pretty sure a one time thing. Other meals ~ dinner at Pizza Port (Chicken Fussili) lunch at (sp??)Ranch del Zocalo(sp??) We had a Chimichanga & Corn Dog for an early dinner yesterday. Pleasantly unexpected character meetings ~ Mary Poppins - on our way to Thunder Mtn. going by that covered stage just b4 Rancho - she was lovely (quite tall) DD had visited with Mary & Bert this past Dec. And my favorite ~ yesterday afternoon near the time for us to leave we were headed to Fantasy Land for a couple more rides ~ our route took us by Snow White's Wishing Well - who did we see??? Alice, Mad Hatter, White Rabbit & the Queen! Another pleasant surprise - bonus FPs! We had purchased block out tickets earlier this year - I had held onto them so I decided to see if they'd work for FPs and yes they did ~ I wonder for how long this will work ![]() FPs - DL ~ only for Splash & Thunder (Sun. only) DCA ~ Soarin' & GRR (only on Sun. and not disconnected) We missed Space & the HM. DS single rode Indy & Screamin'. Saw the Tiki Bird show & the parade twice ~ DD loves both. Probably rode Thunder the most ~ DS rode Screamin' several times. It was quite warm in the afternoon and crowded but we were fine. Now to get ready for WDW!!

Just a couple of questions. I noticed on another post that you went to F! after Magical. Why couldn't you go thru adventureland?? Where did you sit for Magical? Also, do you think it is possible for someone to watch Magical then get over to F! and get a sitting waterfront spot?
We leave on Sat and are hoping on Sunday to catch the fireworks at 925 then work our way over to see the 1030 F! -- we have 2 small girls so we have to be near the water for them to see. Do you think it is doable?? Thanks!

I'm so glad you had a good time!
Wow- you're headed to WDW in only 2 weeks?! 2 Disney parks on either side of the country in less than a month! Lucky!
