Sit n' Stroll or Gogo Travel Kidz

Has anyone ever used either of these? We are thinking about getting one for DS who will be 14 months at the time of our trip...I know we can't afford a brand new one though..Just wondering what people's reviews are of these as compared to using a regular stroller and carseat..thanks

We used the T-shaped strap that attaches your existing carseat to a piece of rolling carryon luggage which was great for going through airports and such. We used it when we went to Korea and it was a hit with our 18mo old. Your child can sit in the carseat while it's attached to the suitcase and apparently "it's the coolest thing ever and how come I can't ride on it?" whined my 3 year old.

I think all of these (the sit n stroll, go go kidz and the strap thingy we used) are not considered replacements for strollers, but rather an easy way to carry your carseat and your kid when your stroller is unavailable or you don't want to lug the carseat by itself.

It's cheap, it's easy and it gives your own carseat wheels.

If you're looking for a complete stroller replacement, I don't think these are practical solutions - nothing beats a good stroller for comfort and ease of use with little ones.

ETA - It's only $14.99 at Amazon:

The gogo kidz is *fabulous*. I loved it! I borrowed one but I would buy one in a heartbeat if I needed to. Just make sure it fits your car seat. It doesn't fit them all.

The sit n stroll is not good. It has a funky belt path and can be really hard to install correctly, especially in a rental car. Because it is a car seat, it is also not recommended that you buy this used.

Like the PP said, neither is a replacement for a stroller, but a handy way to transport kids and car seats through the airport.

I just need something strictly for the airport, we have a stroller for our time in Orlando..We have a Cosco Scenera, would that fit on a Gogo Kidz?

No, it isn't, but honestly, the Scenera is so light I wouldn't worry about it. I'd just carry the car seat!

Are you taking the stroller from home? If you are, gate check the stroller and throw the car seat or the kid in the stroller to get to the gate and carry the other. Otherwise, the toddler travel strap thing is a good idea.

No we are a part of a stroller swap so maybe i'll have to look into ideas of the strap thing, i just want something safe and worry that might not be safe enough..but i'll have to do more research

The Go Go Kidz isn't compatible with the Scenera (according to their website). A Scenera was what we used on all our plane travels as it is indeed so very lightweight and great for traveling.

I was really happy with the strap and had no safety concerns. Considering you're only walking and I didn't let my son sit in it on escalators, the worst case scenario would be if the seat fell off the luggage (but seriously - it's webbing and isn't about to break) then he and the seat would fall a few inches. Considering he's strapped into a car seat traveling at about 3 mph and 6 inches off the ground, I wasn't too worried about him getting hurt.

Plus, it's super easy to remove when you need to send the carseat through the X-ray machine at airport security.
