Food Court at AS Movies

Help.....What can we get as counter meal for breakfast at the food court of AS Movies?

We are a party of 8 staying at ASMovies in December. We planning to add the Basic Disney Dining Plan to our package. Our thinking is to use our table service meals at places like Ohana, Coral Reef, San Angel, 1900 Park Fare and use our counter meals for breakfast at the food court. Eating a late breakfast - 9ish and an early supper - 5ish and using our snacks in between. Thus only 2 meals a day with very little OOP food expense - except tips, alcohol, and additional snacks.

So back to original question...what and how much can we get at the food court for breakfast.

You will get a juice, non-alcoholic beverage and an entree or combo-meal for your CS credit.

Mickey Waffles, pancakes, omelets, scrambles eggs and bacon or sausage, or a breakfast croissant sandwich are all available. You can also grab cereal, a danish or muffin if you want something less heavy.

Sorry...More questions

Thanks for your reply!!! Very helpful. I know, I know...I shouldn't but a few more questions. I'm a very detail person...and the couplde traveling with us has never been to disney before and I'm telling them how great the dining plan is. If we order the breakfast omelet, what else comes with it...potatoes, toast, etc? If we order pancakes, what comes with them? And if the kids get cereal..what comes with it besides milk? Just trying to figure out if we would need to spend money OOP for a side of potatoes, toast, bacon, sausage...you get the picture. Thanks again for your help!!! Much appreciated

this is a paste of what's included:

1 Table-Service meal including entrée, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage or one full buffet
1 Quick Serve meal of either a complete Combo Meal or one entree with one dessert (Lunch or Dinner) or one juice (Breakfast)
1 Snack choice of a frozen novelty ice cream, popsicle or fruit bar, single serving grab bag of Frito Lay's chips, one 20 oz. bottle of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite or Dansani Water, single piece of whole fruit, medium fountain soft drink or apple juice

What worked for us is that all meals for a given room are on the same tally. So the bigger eater my husband had a full quick service breakfast, the kids shared a breakfast (we had one under 2) and I had a bagel or roll of some sort. This really helped us make the best use of our credits and it was what we wanted anyway. Out of 5 days we only needed to purchase one lunch that the two kids and I shared on the last day.

You will need to budget for tips and adult beverages that are not included.

If you have a small breakfast at the hotel ( sometimes we share) and pay out of pocket I think you will get more value with your credits if you use them for and early lunch. We are a family of three and most lunch cs would cost us about 44 if we were paying out of pocket, we always use the dining plan. You can purchase the refillable mug and use it for coffee/tea in the morning and fountain drinks at the hotel for the rest of your stay.

JUST returned Monday night and we stayed at Movies.........our first morning we had the platter for breakfast and then picked up an orange juice and a bottle of water.....the cashier said..(actually there were two of them) you dont have to get a water .(because we got the refillable mugs too).....you can have any item in the back area ...pastries or bagels or two breads to make toast.....fruit ....just no alcholic beverages.....so the platter has eggs, sausage and bacon or one or the other, home fries, bisquit....they also add at one of the stations a mini mickey waffle and the other station has two french toast sticks......It worked well for me because I dont care for the waffle or the bisquit...so I would say leave those off ..they would give me more of the eggs and I would have the two bread for toast......
The cashiers are very helpful and will help you if you ask what can I get for cs ...this is how it worked for us...
Snacks in this area were also used...we had a hot fudge sundae one evening....also we had four snacks left over on the morning we left and our breakfast was bagel, juice with his coffee...and I had toast and juice and my coffee..

No matter what the cs snacks say that are allowed........ask the cashier and they will steer you in the right direction

Thanks

A huge thanks to everyone who posted...

I think we have decided to try and split our counters up between breakfast and lunch. Using maybe 1 or 2 for breakfast and paying out of pocket of other breakfast items. Then use 2 or 3 for lunch...get a double cheeseburger meal, buy an extra bun and now we have 2 meals. I know it's not this difficult and I'm making it harder...just trying to figure out how to get our money's worth on the dining plan.
