How Long to Pay Off Alaska? Many Questions?
Sorry if this has been answered! I have never booked anything this early. (always book no more than 6 mos in advance) How long do you have to pay off the Alaska cruise? Is the half deposit going to be valid on this sailing? Do we have to call in or can we do it online?
Thanks All!

The regular due date for deposits is 75 days from cruise date but if you are a CC member and want to book at 90 days for silver, 105 for gold or 120 for platinum you will need to be paid in full to do that. Noone yet knows what the deposit amount will be for the Alaska cruises or if the 1/2 price deal will be in effect for these sailings. If you are able to book on 9/21 you have to call as nothing will be posted on DCL's website that day. On 9/28 the information should be on the website for open bookings.

Most of your questions can't be answered since the answers haven't been announced by DCL yet.
Bookings made starting on 9/21 are only by phone and only for Gold & Platinum CC members. 9/28 bookings open to everyone else and most likely will be available by phone or online. Deposit amounts haven't been announced. Final payments dates also havne't been announced, but 7 night cruises are typically due 75 days out. |

I will only be a silver member (2 cruises ) so I have to wait until the 28th I think. Half deposit would be awesome! Thanks all for answering so quick!

I was just on the phone with DCL and she told me phone bookings only. I don't know if she is right or not.

We normally save the money before we book, and pay in full when we book.

I am going on a cruise in November and all my extra money will be tied up in that. I will only have money for the down payment. But since the cruise is such a far way away, I don't think it will be a problem to pay in installments.

As a CC member, you'll probably be booking reservations 3, 3.5, or 4 months before your cruise. So look at a calendar and figure out when the day is that you can book reservation for your CC level, then use the calendar to figure out how much time you have to save.
With absolutely no disrespect meant for TVguy, I have saved up enough to pay for the cruise well before the payment date, but held the money so it could earn interest for me - not Disney shareholders. |
