Christmas at WDW??

Thinking about visiting the week before Christmas. Never been in the winter and have always wanted to see the decorations and feel the excitement in the air! I know it is a busy time to go, but need to work around school breaks. Wanted to take a short cruise, but didn't make that happen...so looking at WDW..CBR. Have stayed there a couple times and it is one of my favorites. What is December weather like?? It's got to be better than cold & snowy Ohio...right???

It tends to depend. Being from Florida, the weather always changes. Usually it is around 30s to 60s in Orlando. But it can sometimes get higher than that. Very unpredictable But definitely beats Ohio weather

Hello from ohio!

I too am from Ohio and this will be our second Christmas trip (going 12/11-12/20). Like the last post said, it depends. On our last trip, we had highs in the 80's some days but we also had one low at 30! Layers that can be carried easily are your best bet. Start off with short/pants and t-shirt and wear a hoodie or sweatshirt which came be easily tied around your waist or put in stroller (if you have one). Mornings tend to be chilly, afterrnoons tend to be warm (not hot). Rain wasn't a problem though. Good Luck!

All Disney pools are heated. My kids went swimming in Dec one year. A friend went the following year and found it to be too cold to tolerate being out of the water and wet. They only swam one time during their stay. The weather can vary so much from one year to the next.

The first 8 days we were there we walked on just about every ride. 15 minutes was our longest wait. Starting the Friday before Christmas, things started to get more crowded. Sautrday the crowds grew to where Saturday night was extremely crowded! Sunday we were leaving so we went to DD to shop. You couldn't get anywhere without mobs and mobs! If you are there the weekend before Christmas, prepare to get nothing done that Saturday or Sunday. Good Luck!
