Goodbye Kouzzina

http://www.wdwmagic.com/dining/kouzz...-september.htm

Kouzzina by Cat Cora will be closing permanently at the end of September. The final day of operation will be September 30 2014.

A new restaurant will be opening in the location on the BoardWalk late 2014. Kouzzina opened in August 2009 to great fanfare with celebrity Chef Cat Cora in attendance.

We always preferred Spoodles anyway. It will be interesting to see what they do with the space!

I never tried Kouzzina as the menu didn't appeal to me, I'm interested to know what might be replacing it.

Never went before but maybe I'll try to hit it up before closing. Thanks for the news!

I am so sad about this! It is my personal tradition to have breakfast here after a run Disney race. Now where will I go to get eggs, spinach and feta???

I had wanted to try this place, especially for breakfast, but the menu does not appeal to my family at all.

I think I'm more upset about this than the FP+/MB clustarfarkas. I love Cat Cora as well as her food. The lamb was delicious.

After multiple trips to WDW and many many restaurant meals, we've only had two bad experiences at a WDW restaurant and one of them was here. We later had a breakfast here and it was good, but I will be more interested to see what they have going in here.

My son and I love this restaurant. It's a must do on our trips to WDW. I'm glad I just booked an ADR for the end of August.

Who knows for sure what went wrong but my feeling was (when it originally opened) that Cat Cora shouldn't attach her name to what I thought was a pretty ordinary 1 credit restaurant.

Not happy about this but I guess it is because ...

My fiancee and I LOVE Cat Cora's. It's one of our favorite Disney restaurants. We are foodies and like all types of cousines from all around the world.

I can see how this restaurant would not be successful in WDW though. Like
a bunch have posted - the menu is not what their family likes - makes sense. Many children just eat chicken fingers and fries, burgers ,pizza, grilled cheese and this restaurant is NOT like that.

I think the flavor profile here is a lot different than other wdw restaurants. Besides children, I do know a bunch of adults in my family that would not eat greek food either because they don't like to try new things and just like the same stuff . it's not a meat and potatoes type of place.

So although I am very dissapointed I understand.

Now I have to see if I can squeeze in one more dinner there on the next trip. Already have a breakfast planned there .

I was just going to "find" you and let you know.

Somehow I'm thinking the eggwhite spinach feta wrap from Starbucks won't be quite the same.

I wanted to try the waffle with mascarpone with actual functioning tastebuds, darnit!!!!!
