BLT Bay Lake Views - The DIS Discussion Forums

We are checking into a 2bdrm dedicated Bay Lake View at BLT on Wed.

What room or area should we ask for? I thought the higher floors would be better. True? Also, where should we ask to be if we want at least a glimpse (or more) of MK?

The rooms on the outerside of BLT (even #'d rooms) are the ones that can see the MK.

There are some on the northern end of the resort that might have that partial MK view.

We stayed in a LV studio, Romm #8206 (12th floor) and had a great view of both the lake and MK. We could even see the fireworks from our balcony.

I can't answer your Q but wanted to say have a great time my fellow New Englander!!! We won't be there until Oct 20th but I can't wait to check it out. If you think of it, please post pics when you get back!!!

Disneyaunt4, we check in tomorrow and the unfortunately check out Sat.

Very sad...NOT..we then head to The Magic for our 10th Anniversary Disney Cruise

I don't have any idea but can't wait to hear more! We are also going to be in a 2 bedroom dedicated lake view in November. Any tips on what room to ask for with the best view would be greatly appreciated. I hope that you have a wonderful trip!!!!!

Check out Work2Play's thread on BLT room views. She has a map that shows the reported views room by room. There are are some posts showing a photo of their view, and others with links to photos and/or trip reports. This thread has the most detailed information out there regarding views at BLT. Since it is based on DISboard threads and posts it may not be a complete listing but it's not for lack of trying to gather the information by the OP.

Gotta help out a neighbor! (we are on the New Hampshire seacoast). We were in a one bedroom, north end, bay lake side from Sept. 1-9. Work2Play's chart helped us get our dream one bedroom! I just looked at her chart again, and the placement of the dedicated two-bedroom units. Based on our view, (we were in 8210), if you request something on the upper floors ending in "02", say from 8002 to 8402, you should definitely see space mountain and possibly the castle as well from your balcony. Then you will have a beautiful bay lake view from your living room window. Unfortunately, I can't confirm this as no one has posted who has stayed in a dedicated two bedroom on the north side as far as I can tell. But it looks like my best guess. Have a great time!

And BTW - if you can't see the castle, you can still get an amazing view of the fireworks from the Top of the World! Be sure to stop in, have a drink or a snack (or both) and meet the terrific CMs. They are all awesome!
