Question about ages and kids clubs - The DIS Discussion Forums

I will be sailing on a 4 night cruise in April. My children will be 7 (just 2.5 months shy of 8) and 10 years old. I was wondering if they would allow me to put my 7 year old in the 8 - 12 year old group with her older sibling since she is almost 8. I know they tend to "hang out" with each other when they don't know any other kids.

They might allow your 7 yo to join the 8-9 yo group but your 10 yo will be in the 10-12 group. If you look at the navigators you will see that they are seperated much of the time, especially in the evenings. You could request your 10 yo to move down to the 8-9 yo group but would those activities interest them? Have you looked at the meet thread for your cruise? We always find other families with kids the same age as ours and get them to email each other before the cruise. That way they are in their respective groups on the ship and have friends to meet up with before they even board the ship. They are still friends with many of these kids and we have cruised with some families multiple times as well as meeting up at WDW and other places at other times. We have booked the WBTA with two other families we met online before the EBPC repo and they were all inseperable onboard.
