Giordano's - for any pizza lover who's interested
If you're a pizza lover and have followed these boards you know that Disney pizza is not fantastic. Giordano's is off site with a couple of Orlando locations and gets mentioned frequently on the boards. I have had Giordano's delivered to VWL before and dined at one of the locations on another trip.
We were there again Monday and IMO, this is pretty good stuff. Here's the Chicago Stuffed Deep Dish (this one was spinach, mozzarella and parmesan) ![]() Here's the thin crust (this was peperoni for the kids)

Can I ask roughly how much the cost of the food with delivery was? We are planning to do exactly that on our AK night... one thin for the kids and a deep dish for us. And do you know of it is possible to get the deep dish half and half? I would love the spinach, but DH would like meats only...
TIA! |

We ate in the restaurant this week. I had it delivered back in February and I don't remember what the cost was. Give 'em a call and I'm sure they can answer your questions. 407-239-8900

There are local coupon books everywhere around town that all have a free tomatoe basil appetizer with any purchase there.
It is more tastey than the pizza.

Haven't tried their pizza yet.
![]() I go for Flipper's (flipperspizzeria.com). Two locations not far from WDW. One I know from experience delivers for free. |

We go here about every trip. We usually eat in so I don't know about price for delivery but for around $40 we get a deep dish/a regular & 2 drinks & sometimes a salad. I can only eat one (or2) pieces as it is HUGE but we get a large & have plenty to take back to the room for the next day. Pasta menu is kind of limited though.

We
Giordano's Pizza! It taste the same in Chicago and Orlando. Rather than deliver; my DH gets carry out. He likes to leave the resort area to explore a bit. Not me; I prefer the pool.

We tried this place on our last visit and I have to be honest it was one of the worse pizzas any of us have ever eaten. Later in our trip we tried a place right off the main gate east area (flippers?) and it was much better. we even had a papa johns pizza (any chain pizza is pretty nasty stuff) and I would have to say it was steps above this place.
I do have a bit of a bias though, I have been told my pizzas are the best ever made.

We have always bee huge fans of Giordano's. We always dine in. Our visit last week was a disappointment. The pizza was not piping hot. We usually order a medium special stuffed pizza and got a large this last time. Perhaps that is why
. We will give them another shot in November, hope we have a better experience.![]() The free tomato basil bread appetizer is okay. They price it at $1.49 and then discount that amount. It isn't fantastic. We like their fried mushrooms. I would rather they came back with a $ off coupon like they had years ago. We would rather save the $s than the free appetizer. There is definitely a difference between the pizza in Chicago and that at Giordano's in Orlando. They taste similar, but Chicago is better. |

Wow! My bowels are seizing just looking at all that cheese!
![]() Are all of their pizzas so cheese-heavy or did everybody ask for extra cheese? How about Flippers? Are their pizzas as cheesy? I know lots of people love all of that cheese...I'm just not one of them.

The photo I posted was no extra cheese. Their stuffed pizzas are stuffed mainly with cheese so they are cheese heavy. Their thin crust pizzas won't hold as much cheese, but they still use lots. I love lots of cheese.

I tried Giordano's last year when we stayed off site for a Discovery cove trip. We ate in the restaurant one evening and food was good. We got a take out deep dish and it was just wayyy to much cheese for us! One piece honestly was all I could handle!
