Which are secret porthole rooms on the Wonder?

Does anyone know which specific rooms on the Wonder are the secret portholes? If so, what at what category are they currently being sold? (ex. deluxe inside stateroom) I know the categories may change shortly but I am wondering which rooms to keep an eye out for. Also, when you go to select a stateroom online can you pick the "secret" room even though you have paid for a lesser category? Or do you have to call in the request? Thanks again everybody!

Rooms 5020, 5022, and 5024 on the Port side and rooms 5520, 5522, and 5524 on the Starboard side are the "Secret Porthole Rooms". Rooms 5522 and 5524 are also adjoining rooms like 5022 and 5024. These are all Category 10. We had rooms 5522 and 5524 this past August.

There are also Secret Verandah Staterooms

Though not as big an upgrade as the secret porthole staterooms. Basically these are Category 7 staterooms that have a regular verandah (a private, open-air deck accessed from your cabin), instead of the usual Category 7 "navigator's verandah," which is a fully enclosed deck with a large porthole.

They were recategorized to Category 7 because they have a slight obstruction of view. The obstruction is due to their location at the very ends of the ship: an overhang curves around on one side of the verandah, obscuring the view in that direction.

These cabins are 6134, 6634, 7120 and 7620.

I have a dumb question but what is a "secret porthole room"? Are you booking an inside stateroom but really get a porthole?

That is my understanding. You pay for an inside room and these certain port hole rooms can be booked at that lower price (instead of paying the oceanview rate).

The Secret Porthole staterooms are actually Cat 8 Oceanview rooms. They were recatorized to Cat 10 because the view is partially blocked. If you google images secret porthole staterooms you can see how much the views are blocked. I wish that I had done that before I booked my room. I had a choice between 5024 and 5022 I picked the one with the most blocked view. Oops! It is still better than an inside stateroom. Now I will know for next time

You can find photos of the views from all six of these rooms at the CASTAWAYCLUB dot com website. Just select "Secret Porthole Rooms" on that page. #5020 and #5520 are the least obstructed. --Dave
