ok so I am planning my first mother/daughter trip for 2010 in Aug. And I have been thinking of questions that maybe my DIS family can answer for me...
Here we go: 1. I want to BBB with and her are looking on doing just the hair and makeup since I am creating a very special matching outfit for us.what all comes with that mainly does the hairpeice come with that package or does it come seperatly? Also how long does it take becuase I would like to make breakfast reservation at the castle. 2. I am planning on doing pick a pearl and was wondering what is the cheapest but nicest setting cost I know silver will be cheaper but want to get them set. 3.Next: We are also going to be eating at two differant resort and since we are flying we will be relying on the Bus system so what the best way to get from pop to GF and then from Pop to Boardwalk 4. I was also wondering has anybody ever shipped things to Disney that they needed that they dont want to take on the plane like liguids, and things like that? And how llong should I allow for shipping? Thats it (for right now...lol) If there is any other tips for a mother/daughter trip Please feel free to share.. |

I did this last week at Epcot with my daughter. She really wanted her pearl set in a ring so we chose a silver ring setting that was $49. I'm not certain that it was the least expensive setting but it was definitely at the low end and there were many more expensive ones. There were also a variety of silver cages for necklaces that were less expensive, particularly if you already had a chain to use. The basic post earring settings (if you happened to get twins) were in the $25 range.

The hairpiece comes with 2 of the 3 styles you can choose from. They are all available on the basic package. Allot 1 hour, it will probably take much less but just in case. 3.Next: We are also going to be eating at two differant resort and since we are flying we will be relying on the Bus system so what the best way to get from pop to GF and then from Pop to Boardwalk Pop to MK then monorail to GF / pop to epcot then int'l gateway boat to boardwalk (or ep bus to boradwalk)

A wonderful mother/daughter thing to do is afternoon tea at the GF. My daughter and I LOVE it. You will have a great time. We always do. Whatever you decide, have a wonderful, magical trip!!

Best way to get to the GF from the POP is to take the bus to MK and then Monorail to GF. From the Pop take the DTD bus then transfer to the Boardwalk resort bus. Unless you have Park Hoppers then you can take the bus to Epcot walk to the back gate and take the boat or walk to the Boardwalk.

You can get a pearl cage of Cinderella's Coach on ebay for $3.50 each and they are just adorable. I picked a pearl last May for mine and the 6.5 mm fits great. Could go a bit larger though. I'm PMing you a link!

DD and I did the pick a pearl last year. She had hers set in a dolphin charm.
Have fun planning your mother/daughter trip. DD and I are getting ready for ours in 2 months!
