Does POP do anything for a sweet 16 celebration. - The DIS Discussion Forums

I booked my daughters sweet 16 celebration. We are staying at POP and in fact the reservation is called Michelle's sweet 16 celebration. I was wondering, does the resort do anything special for us or her apon arrival?

No not usually. The value resorts generally do not do anythig special for birthdays etc. Thats not saying they never have but it is not common. The Cms will wish her a happy birthday.

with the number of people visiting WDW, someone is always celebrating something, my birthday for instance

. I expect I'll be wished a happy birthday. Anything else would be gravy.

Yeah , I kinda figured that. I am trying to think of a surprise that would be in the room when we arrive (or at the front desk). Something not to expensive, not too kiddie like,but something that would make her smile.

They won't put anything in your room until you check in. But what about arranging for a massage for her and leaving a "certificate" when she is not looking.

We've been in WDW for my DD15's last 3 b-days. I always get her a manicure at Periwigs (the salon at the Beach Club, where we stay).

You could always check with Disney Florist to see if there's anything you like that could be delivered upon your arrival- they are usually a costly option though and you are limited to the selections you see online. I do know that Town Center Florist also can make up a custom gift basket with items of your choosing and deliver to a resort. I don't have their phone # offhand but you can do a yellow pages search. ---Kathy

Thanks all. I don't want to spend to much money, but just thought if I could arrange something. I will call some local places down there and see if something can be delivered to the front desk that day.
I was thinking a special bracelet and balloons? I got some time to think about this one.
