Anyone have any Med themed doors or magnets?!

It's our first cruise...but I thought it might be fun to do a set of ears with a flag from each country!

Just a quick question from a cruise newbie. What would you suggest for a door from a 1st time cruiser? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Keep it simple at first and add on each cruise.

We tend to over kill. Our first cruise we had a different Fish Extender for almost every day of the week and out door was covered inside and out. We rotated magnets based upon the port we were visiting or the Days events. To each their own but we loved changing our decor.

This was our second cruise and our first time with door magnets and a FE.
For the magnets we went with one main one with our family name and 3 bumper sticker size magnets with our name. See my prior post for pictures. Then our FE.

Your fish extender is amazing... Way to much detail for me.

where did you find the picture(s) for each ships bow? Do you have a link? I would love to use it for a screen printed shirt.

I started off with photographs of the actual bows and attempted to flatten them as best as possible. For example I used this image for Captain Mickey (Dream). Then I used this as a starting image (scroll to the bottom) for the design work. I used Photoshop and started from scratch creating paths for each design element as all the scans and images were not the best quality.

Once I got the paths drawn I created a black and white document to use as my template.

Send me a PM and let me know what you are looking for specifically.

Your doors look great! I just got off Carnival Dream and we were able to
put decorations on doors with magnets.
Is this how it should be done for Disney Dream?
Do you print on magnetic paper or do you glue/tape magnets to the back.
ANY/ALL help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

I have read here on the boards that the magnets that you glue on the back do not work well because when you open and shut the door they tend to fall off. I purchased some of the printable magnet sheets at Michaels craft store. Hope this helps. dream2011

I purchased magnetic sheet rolls (see above post) printed out the graphics at Target's 1 hour photo. Then affixed the pictures to the sheet and cut them out with an exacto knife.
