Need help deciding which MK VIEW hotel...

If I can afford it, I want one of our visits at a MK hotel. Thinking next June.
Only problem is, we love them ALL.
It is just the 2 of us, me and my dd, 10. We seriously could spend a week along at MK.
DD, 10, fell in love w TGF (she likes glamorous hotels and dining and is only 10...LOL) , While I like the POLY (beaches, sold me) and who wouldn't want the monorail running throughout your hotel like CR? I know the MK view rooms are
pricey, but you only live once, RIGHT???

So, who is gonna talk me into a MK room? Is one better than the other?

My personal favorite is GF (it's my favorite hotel and it has my favorite MK view).

Poly has the most centered view and it is surrounded by beautiful beach and palm trees, but the castle is farther away.

CR is closest to MK so you see more of the park, but this is also a bad thing because you'll see ugly backstage areas. In addition, the view is highly off center (so the fireworks look very strange), and you see a lot of parking lot. CR's MK view rooms are cheaper than Poly or GF's MK view rooms, so that's a benefit.

None of these pictures were zoomed, by the way.

I think the above poster said it all. I will say though that the GF has lovely beaches as well...and they look out over the Polynesian!

If price really isn't an issue, I would say go with the resort with the theme you like best....I prefer the Poly.

They are all beautiful but our favorite MK view has been CR. The castle looks so close, you can hear the sounds of Disney and it is amazing to lay in bed at night and watch the castle turn colors. (I know people talk about the parking lot view but really, when you are on your balcony you are focusing on the castle/park). However, after staying at all 4 resorts around MK, we LOVE the Poly and have no complaints about the MKV room we just stayed in there! Have fun deciding!

I like GF and the Poly. Generally would rather be at the Poly and see the GF than the other way around. But they're both nice.

The Contemporary is not my cup of tea.

Good luck deciding.

TY for the pictures.
I think I have it narrowed down to TFG and POLY.

Watching the castle turn colors could make me forget about the parking lot.

When they say that a picture is worth a thousand words...! Talk about making a point while saying very little. The Contemporary has always been "home" for me; but you guys (and gals) make for a great "argument". IMHO, I would still go with The Contemporary Resort, Magic Kingdom View; but to suit your criteria, The Grand Floridian kinda' says it all.

My *fix-it man*, who use to always stay at TGF, says there is nothing like
TGF.....
I think this will be a hard decision to make. LOL.

I would go with the Magic Kingdom View at the Contemporary because of how close you can get to being there and don't worry about seeing the parking lot, because once you see how great the view is you won't even focus on that.

Also here is something else to keep in mind. The Contemporary Magic Kingdom View is the least expensive one, when you compare the prices for the Polynesian and Grand Floridian. So why would you want to pay more for a view just of Cinderella's Castle, when you can pay less for a full Magic Kingdom View?

Someone help me out on the Contempo, I've never stayed, but have been through it and stopped several times. Is it just me or I have a hard time getting past the whole hospital/industrial/concrete feel it has, very sterile, and cold looking like a sophisticated mental hospital, just me? I realize its the closest to MK and has the closest view but........are the rooms the same way? Does this not bother you?

Here is a link to pictures of the Contemporary rooms and they look nothing like the way you describe it.

I vote for the Poly, concierge, lagoon view. The MK view can't be beat, plus you have access to the concierge staff and concierge lounge; your little princess will definately feel pampered!!!

OK I think I get it, think futuristic not hospital right? I can get into a futuristic feel if that is the idea, kind of like a hotel on another planet or a space hotel or something?
