Will The Bus Pick Up Earlier on Morning EMH Days?

For instance, if on Tuesday Epcot opens at 8am for EMH, will the bus for Epcot start earlier than usual?

How early do the bus pickups start and can I find a schedule for a specific resort (VWL specifically)?

The buses are not dependable for AM EMH.

We completely missed MK EMH while staying at AKL. It was X-mas Eve; EMH 7am to 8am; MK open at 8am; still no bus at 7:30am. Lots of people were waiting since 6:30am; we told the front desk.

We changed plans and went to EPCOT for rope drop. It was a bummer but we made the best of it.

The buses will start at their regular times no matter if that specific park is having Morning Extra Magic Hour. So the Magic Kingdom buses will always start at 6:30 AM and the buses for Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom will start at 7:00 AM.

Out of curiosity....if this is the case - how do you get to the opening of EP, DSH and AK when the actual EMH starts at 8am? By the time the bus left and unloaded, you wouldn't have much time left to enjoy EMH

I guess I'm confused because if this is the case then what is the benefit unless you drive your own car

Oh my mistake. I meant to say the buses for Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom start at 7:00 AM, so I will edit my previous reply.

Whew! Thanks - I'm leaving in 3 days and 2 of the parks I'm going to are AK and EP am EMH....lol Thanks for clarifying though, I appreciate it!

I must disagree with, "the buses are not dependable for AM EMH," as a blanket statement.

We have attended literally dozens of AM EMH's at all of the parks.
We always get there early riding Disney buses.

The fact that you had difficulty on one of THE busiest days of the year (Christmas Eve) is very unfortunate (it would certainly upset me, greatly, and I am so sorry that it happened to you... it should not have!) but it is unfair to take that bad experience to be representative of what happens EVERY day (or even what may have happened at other resorts on THAT day.)

I hope you never encounter that kind of problem in the future.

Good to hear a positive experience as well! When would you suggest to be at the bus stop for an 8 am EMH?

7:00 (or maybe a bit earlier to make rope drop). You might not get on the first bus because it is too crowded.

Do not drive to Animal Kingdom for early activities. Speaking of not dependable, that applies to their parking lot.

This isn't true. It depends on when the EMH starts. The buses will start an hour prior to that, at least.

Last year during Christmas, AK opened at 8am. That means EMH started at 7am! And we got on the bus at about 6:15!!!! It was pitch black, and cold, but we got to ride TONS of stuff that morning because hardly anyone was there that early.
