Taking 11 1/2 year old to CRT?
Considering taking my niece who is at that age where its all about what's cool. Also taking my two daughters who are 7 and 9. I think my niece would secretly enjoy it and would feel very left out if we didn't take her even though she might claim she's too old. What do you think?

I would absolutely take her. Even if she didn't like the whole Princess thing, she probably would think it was cool to eat in the castle. My 9 yr. old is starting the whole what is cool and what is not
She said that she did not want to eat in the castle but would not mind eating at Akershus because Jasmine is there (her favorite princess), little does she know we are doing both because my 6 yr. old wants to eat at CRT and does not remember the last time we ate there (she was 2). Good luck.

I would definately take her. With the younger girls there she would be able to tell her friends she "had to go because" her little cousins wanted to. But yeah, secretly she would be really enjoying it. I have a niece that would have been the same way at that age!

I took DS19, DD18, and DD's BFF18 to Cape May and CP. They are at the prime age of "this is not cool"! I do believe they were having as much fun with the characters as the little kids were. It was very funny to see DS19 cutting up with the characters. He's just normally not like that. With that said, I think you should take her there and she will have a blast!

Yes, take her. On my last trip there my DD's were 12, 10, 8 and 2. My DD12 would kind of roll her eyes if she caught me watching her, but was gazing at the princesses when she didn't know I was looking. She enjoyed it, and enjoyed the food too! That's one problem with younger kids...they are so awed by everything going on around them it is hard to get them to eat. With the older ones you might get your money's worth more easily!

I brought my DD last time and she was 12. That was pretty much it for her. She does enjoy eating in the castle, but princesses are too much. She also requested the sword over the wand.

Thanks for all the advice. We are going to plan on taking her. Now I just have to actually get reservations. We booked through Last Minute Travel with the contest they had but when I try to add my disney reservation number into my profile it won't recognize it. So I don't think we're going to be able to book online when our window opens? But I'm hoping if I call in that with our +10 we'll be able to get it.

Just chiming in to say I agree with taking her. I took my DD 8 to Crystal Palace in Feb, even though she said the Pooh characters are too babyish. Now she loves them all.
I rue the day when DD will consider the princesses annoying, but I know it will come.
