Just back from a week at POR

Incase anyone is interested, I'll do a recap...not really a long TR, but the basics.

POR: We got a GREAT room in Oak Manor on the ground floor and were greeted with a Mickey head towel when we arrived. Good start!
Overall, mousekeeping kind of went downhill after that and I hardly felt the room was cleaned most days, but I wasn't bothered...
Food court...yuck. Because we had two young ones we were back at the resort by dinner most evenings and had to eat there several times. Not my favorite part of the trip, but pretty much what I expected.
We mostly used the quiet pool near our room and LOVED it. It was better for our kids and so much nicer than the loud, crowded main pool, though that pool was really neat.
Bus transportation was great, never waited more than a few minutes.

Crowds at the parks were fairly light. Virturally everything was a walk on, though we didn't do a whole lot of the big rides with a 3 and 6 yo. DH walked onto ToT, EE, etc. The only FP we used the whole trip was for TSM and that wasn't even a long wait. Being able to just walk onto/into everything really made the trip soooo nice!
HOWEVER...the parks STUNK!! We assume it was fertilizer, but YUCK!
Weather wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. Only a couple really hot days. The evening were quite comfortable with some rain but nothing that spoiled our fun.

Most of the dining was nice. Earl of Sandwich..YUMM-O! Character breakfasts were pretty good. The best was Tusker House. The Major Domo at the Castle was really good, and our lunch at Coral Reef was delicious.
Wolfgang Puck Express...Thumbs down. Blech.
Dole Whips! Kids loved 'em!
School Bread, I died and went to heaven!!
DD (3 1/2) had fun at BBB but I will skip it next time because she's a little too young and wanted it out of her hair a few hours later so it wasn't worth the $$ for us. The Castle lunch was nice, but next time I'll do 1900 Park or Norway just to save the second TS credit.

That's a quick run down, though there is plenty more to tell.
Booked the bounceback for the same time next year.

Have fun!!!
Now I get a whole YEAR to obsess about resort changes, plans, etc...How crazy!
I still wish I could squeak in a holiday trip with just DD, but I think she'd be too young to appreciate it this year and I'm thinking it's something to do in a year or two. She has a couple more years before she starts school, so we could go in early December sometime, maybe when she's 5...
