back from 1st trip...feedback

Hi all , we arrived back wed's night from our 1st trip to dlp, as I am staright back to work just going to post a quick insight into highs and lows of our trip .

Highs ......
*Newport bay hotel , lovely rooms and couldnt fault the hotel.
*The chuck wagon cafe buffet was fabulous and tasty meal
* Woodys round up , chance to meet 6 characters in one hit
* Outside pool at newport bay was really nice
* Standard half board vouchers provided good value for us ,we ate at annettes and rest.de stars too,both good meals for cost.
* Extra magic hours , we were able to do buzz 3 times in 15minutes ( DS favourite ride )

Lows........
* People smoking into kids faces
* Unorganised characters meets .....more like rugby scrums
* autopia....staggered opening,closed due to rain etc meant we never got to go on this

Overall we had a good trip . One massive recommendation i have is for the company we used for transfers "ISprestige". we paid 70 euro each way ,paid to the driver at the end of each journey. our driver was waiting for us despite our flight arriving early,he had the car seats we booked plus lollies and dvd for the kids , he wore a suit and spoke excellent english , he also drove well and the vehicle was a immaculate 8 seat minivan. On the return he arrived on time with all the same benefits ......really really good!!!

Welcome back! Glad you had a good trip (shame you have to be straight back to work). Glad you liked Newport Bay too, we are staying there again in a few days and loved it last year!
I do agree with characters though, well most of them for me last year were fine but meeting Jack Sparrow was awful! I felt sorry for him. Down to people's basic manners and respect I think.

Welcome back!! Glad to hear you've had a good trip! We're staying at the Newport Bay too so I'll be checking out your post on the hotel review thread next!

I think we'll be avoiding most of the character meets apart from Woody's Roundup and after Cars & Stars parade, hope to see most of our faves in the character meals!
