Wondering about free dining with LMT room?

I'm not sure if this is the right board to post in but I love the Budget Board and this seems related. We won a Last Minute Travel room at a value resort for December. I wondered if there was anyway to get in on the free dining with it. Isn't Last Minute Travel paying the regular rate for the room so we could add free dining and a MYW ticket? Or does free dining only work if it was booked directly through Disney? Has anyone tried or booked through another wholesaler and gotten it?

Not possible according to others that have tried to add it on. I think LMT receives a group rate through Disney...thus voiding the free dining promo. Would be an incredible deal if possible!

The room has to be booked as part of a Free Dining package, using the booking code that is meant for the offer. You cannot add tickets and just make it a Free Dining package. It doesn't work that way. Wouldn't be cool if you could?

Yeah, I thought it was worth a try but no go. I tried calling Disney directly just to make sure and they said if its booked through a travel agent, only the travel agent can add dining if they offer that option at all.

On a related note, I can't get disney's website to recognize the number listed on my LMT confirmation as the Disney Confirmation #. When I try to retrieve reservations it won't pull it up. Does that mean those of us booked through LMT can't use the online ADR system?

You have to book a package to get the free dining (so tickets included) and the room with LMT is just a room only reservation. It doesn't have to do with booking through a travel agent or not, it has to do with what type of booking you have made.
your reservation is a ROOM ONLY reservation and not a package, and therefore cannot be changed to the free dining. You would have to actually book the free dining promotional offer to get that (and cannot add it to a room reservation.)

Also, you won't be able to pull up your reservation on the Disney site with the LMT confirmation number they give you. They somehow book it as a wholesaler so Disney's system will not pull it up for you (I went through this back in April when I used my World for $1 reservation that I booked with them.)

You may not be able to pull the reservation up right now because you don't own it. The TA does.

But you should still be able to go through the dining reservations area of the website and book your ADRs. I've had rservations through a TA in the past and I was able to put the confirmation number in and link my ADRs to it even though I could not pull my reservation information up in other areas of the website.
