is the parking lot for MK open VERY early? what about monorail at TTC? - The DIS Discussion Forums

For a special event, we have been asked to go to the Magic Kingdom at 6:30 in the morning...

Disney assures me the parking lot will be open...

Do you guys know if the MK parking lot is open that early? Is the monorail running from the TTC that early?

When we had a Magic Of Our Steam Trains tour last year, I think we had to be at the Magic Kingdom gates by 7:15. We got to the parking lot around 6:30, and it was open.

The parking lot trams are not running at that time of day, but you'll be able to get one of the closest spaces to the handicapped parking area. It's a short walk.

However, I remember having to wait at the TTC for a while. They had the gates closed, and you couldn't get beyond the ticket window area until a set time when the monorail starts running. The resort monorail starts running first to get people to breakfast reservations and tours. I'm thinking it was 7:00, because I remember being nervous about being on time.

Maybe someone else can chime in with the exact time the monorail starts running in the morning. I want to say transportation starts 2 hours before the park opens.

. . . others hav staggered starts

Is the monorail running from the TTC that early?
. . . the monorail starts rolling at 6:45am
. . . if there is a special event, they might make different start-time plans
. . . or, they might have the ferry run earlier
